We need regulations to ban chairs. Or increase Obamacare premiums for those who use chairs.

So let’s see, I’ll live an extra .2 years, i.e., about 2-3 months if I stand most of the time? I’m not impressed.

The libtard population decimators celebrate and encourage more people to die.

I work from home, software stuff. Sit all day. I realized I was gaining weight and not able to do much. Last Black Friday I bought a cheap treadmill, lost ~30lbs so far. I feel so much better, I try and do at least 1-2 miles a day, sometimes more. It takes 1/2 hr while watching TV.

I took care of this problem. I leave my cigarettes in the house and only smoke outside. Frequent trips for my health.

I would love to see some one ad up all the people that have died each week because of some perceived wrong by the left. it seems that the left love to throw inflated figures of deaths caused by a position taken by the right.

Another garbage “study” IMHO-—I’ve been ignoring ALL of them for YEARS.

Does lying down flat on the couch count?

Wouldn’t nearly anyone who works in an office sit for more than three hours a day?

Yep, and breathing oxygen is even more lethal. 100% of people who have died breathed oxygen not long before dying. Eating is also lethal. Eating has been noted in almost all people at some point before they died.

My 92 yr. old mother is living evidence that sitting does not necessarily kill you. She never was exactly a fitness freak.

“You’ve got to be sitting me” about this study.

At least none of those who died from sitting too much died messily from getting hit by a car. /sarc

While this “study” is annoying and simplistic, the larger point is...we all need to move more. As a 66 yr old Physical Therapist Assistant I have performed over 15,000 physical therapy “house calls” in the Tampa Bay area, primarily to senior citizens.

The vast majority of my patients were prescribed PT by their doctors simple because they had become weak and unsafe moving around in their homes and communities.

This was simply a product of not having a plan/strategy of daily exercise designed to maintain mobility. Bottom line: If we live long enough and we don't have a systematic approach to maintaining our physical strength we will become what I call “Mobility Bankrupt.” We will outlive our mobility.

This experience and knowledge lead me to develop The Mobility Max 10 Minute Home Exercise System. I use it everyday and my physical fitness is very high.

I developed /manufacture an exercise bar that fits in any door frame and is adjustable to 14 different levels. But just a important, I prescribe a set of 20 fundamental mobility exercises that we should all do everyday. Each exercise is performed for 30 seconds, so all 20 only take 10 minuets.

The door frame mounted bar is adjusted for each exercise and accommodates the size and skill level of the user.

Check out my short YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZZWe_I8XiA
