The teachers unions have hidden behind the "for the children" mantra for decades, all the while creating a system that costs more and more to educate less and less. New York City spends more than $20,000 per year per pupil, and 80% of the "graduates" do not read well enough to attend community college.
Now that millions of invaders are coming here to collect government checks, we are expected to pay for the "education" of their children as well. The teachers unions look upon this as a multicultural bonanza, allowing them to create teaching positions for eight different dialects of Spanish, among other things.
The model of what they plan on doing to us can be seen in Kansas City, Missouri, where a federal judge forced surrounding municipalities to pay for lavish public schools that included such things as Olympic-sized pools. Hundreds of millions of dollars were extorted from the taxpayers of adjacent counties, and in the end the students performed even worse than before.
If we don't gut the public "education" system in the rest of the country like Scott Walker did in Wisconsin, and soon, we will never escape.
I meant plank #10
Good info. Thanks for posting.
We’re going to end this nonsense, the question is just whether it will be with a nice peaceful Trump win, or the other way.
This is a crisis we'd better get a handle on before it's too late -- if it isn't already!
I lived in Wisconsin when Walker was elected, and if you could see the dirty tricks they were doing to him, sending in busloads of demonstrators from Chicago to harass him at the state house and inside the state house, you would wonder how he could stand it, but he was a brave man and won the recall. And turned Wisconsin around with right-to-work laws.
By the way, Paul Ryan was my representative at that time and was considered very conservative. I don’t know who got to him.
It cannot be done without the nuclear option in the Senate like Harry Reid did.
Scott’s a young guy. We’ve far from heard the last of him.
Very good post, happy to see someone spelling it out.
This is an important issue. I really think Trump and his supporters should talk more about it. The abolition of government-run education should be a top priority in conservative circles. It’s a failed idea. Education needs to be put back into our homes and churches - where it belongs.
