San Francisco's Colin Kaepernick says the fatal shooting of an unarmed black man in Tulsa is "the perfect example" of what he's protesting when he refuses to stand for the national anthem at 49ers' games.

Kaepernick said Tuesday that "everybody's eyes" will be on Tulsa as authorities investigate the fatal shooting of Terence Crutcher. He says criminal charges should be filed in the shooting death.

It’s always the first narrative that the MSMLSD crowd goes with first, truth be damned.

He says criminal charges should be filed in the shooting death.

Thank you Sherlock Holmes. How about you leave the investigation to investigators and the chagring if any to the attorneys.
Maybe you should concentrate on football then you might be able to actually get to play.

"the perfect example" of what he's protesting

First, it looks like a bad shoot. Second, why does the perfect example include someone high on PCP who ignores police?

He would be alive if he listened to police. Having your hands up in the air doesn't mean squat if you are ignoring police.

Ignoring police shouldn't be a death sentence, but it is a possible outcome.

There is no correlation between the actions of police officers—whether right or wrong—and patriotic Americans who want to watch the NFL without seeing players disrespect the flag.

Disrespecting the flag and national anthem does not in any way help the causes that Kaepernick espouses. Indeed, it very likely damages those causes, because it makes people less likely to give credence to Kaepernick's complaints...

Why Do Police Sometimes Shoot Unarmed People?

I've only been involved in a police situation that sometimes turns bad once.A few years ago my sister, her 25 year old son and I were driving I-95 in VA.My sister was driving and she was,in fact, speeding.A VA State Trooper lit her up and she pulled over...as she was required to do.I said to my nephew (who has autism and,as a result, understands little of the "real world") that he and I,being males, must stay very still and very quiet with our hands in plain sight at all times.I told him that that was because cops are at least a bit scared making stops and this one would be particularly "on guard" after seeing him...6 feet tall and 200 pounds.

Long story short,he and I followed the advice I had given, the Trooper (who was black for whatever that's worth) was very polite and professional and my sister was also polite.

As as result the whole thing took no more than 4 minutes and we were on our way.No fatalities...no shots fired.
