Jeff Sessions & Other Senators Unite Against Internet Giveaway
Senator Ted Cruz' Website ^ | september 16 2016

Posted on 09/18/2016 11:06:44 AM PDT by Arthur Wildfire! March

On Friday, Sen. Cruz, along with Sens. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Richard Burr (R-N.C.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Jerry Moran (R-Kan.), Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), Dan Sullivan (R-A.K.), and Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) issued the following joint statement urging Democratic senators to oppose the Obama administration’s proposed Internet oversight transition set to take place on October 1:

“It is profoundly disappointing that the Obama administration has decided to press on with its plan to relinquish United States oversight of crucial Internet functions, even though Congress has not given its approval. For years, there has been a bipartisan understanding that the ICANN transition is premature and that critical questions remain unanswered about the influence of authoritarian regimes in Internet governance, the protection of free speech, the effect on national security, and impacts on consumers, just to name a few.

“Without adequate answers to these questions, it would be irresponsible to allow the transition to occur in 15 days simply because of an artificial deadline set by the Obama administration.

“In fact, Democrats at both the state and national level have echoed many of these concerns. For example, former President Bill Clinton has warned that ‘[a] lot of people who have been trying to take this authority away from the U.S. want to do it for the sole purpose of cracking down on Internet freedom and limiting it and having governments protect their backsides instead of empower[ing] their people.’

“The issue of Internet freedom should unite us Americans – Republicans, Democrats, and independents alike. Partisanship and political gamesmanship have no place when it comes to the Internet, basic principles of freedom, and the right of individuals in our great nation and across the globe to speak online free from censorship.

“We urge our Democratic colleagues to work with us to ensure this transition does not occur on October 1.”

< Could this be Obama’s next Job and at the UN ?

it's been mentioned a lot. Maybe Obama is a bigger part of Revelation that we think.

< Americans want no empty promises made by proven liars — we want our freedom of speech and freedom of online property SECURE. This is going to alarm people as awareness increases.

Can you imagine an Internet controlled by the Muslim head loppers? Or Obama for that matter. Oh hell nahhh....

Seems not enough dems are under the control of the Illuminati for this to go easily for ozero. If things get bad he will play the race card and everyone will run for cover.

We need talk radio to grab hold of this before its too late.
Usually when the hard left is caught red-handed trying to kill us off when they get caught they go away and try something else we need that now. Hannity, Rush,Savage, Laura even Levin heed to get on this quickly.

Obama’s next job will be to prevent an excoriation amendment to the Constutitution.

Laws be damned for a change — I don't care if it takes the rest of my life — I want ALL complicit in this, all of those ACORN leaders, all of those corrupt bigshots who have been fleecing taxpayers — all of those radicals on the bench — all of those career sellouts in congress who push for sick legislation and block sensible legislation — ALL of them to be excoriated after hearings and mandatory debates.

The only reason I haven’t been talking about it much lately was to step back during this campaign.

But if excoriation is tied to this outrage? A good a time and reason to start as any.

Actually, senators and congress members have been screaming bloody murder for the past two years. But the spin in favor of this transition was too thick for people to understand.

It is weird, isn’t it?

Talk radio normally leads the charge and drags congress along. Now we have congress members leading the charge and talk radio seems to ignore it.

Could the talk radio hosts subconsciously savor the thought of cutting out some of the media competition? It could not possibly be a conscious motivation. I believe they are patriots.

But if anyone in the talk radio scene has inside knowledge into their thinking, I’d appreciate it.

the problem with talk radio is that the internet is too difficult to explain over the air.Only Rush could do it and even he would struggle.

If Rush Limbaugh can sell Windows 95, this should be easy for him.

“Has this been discussed by any of the Talk Radio hosts? Hannity? Limbaugh? Levin? etc.”

Not that I’m aware of. And Sessions makes this a game-changer. I was working on a ‘vanity’ along those lines yesterday.

It’s painful to be patient, but covering the weekend terror attacks was understandable.

God bless you both!

FRegards ....

Limbaugh glossed over it. But, he’s bad about taking on anything that doesn’t have his name attached to it,wreak of golf, football or apple.

If we want to keep our internet the way it is now and get ozero to sign on he has to see a down side for his legacy.Otherwise he will do nothing and we will lose. Our Senate and House need to expose what he is doing and make it known his legacy will be shattered if he does nothing. It’s all he cares about.
