These molestations were apparently going on for years, it was bad enough to take down Joe’s statue and now they are going to honor him? Wow!
we can never know what he knew about Sandusky
No way should they honor him, or anyone else that served on the staff at that time...and ‘Sanduck’ should be put in a cell block with a bunch of rapists and they should do to him what he did to those boys...
‘Sanduck’s’ wife even knew what was happening in the basement of her house and didn't say a word, she needed the money from ‘Sanduck’s’ retirement you see...
Child rape facilitator Paterno is not someone deserving of respect.
The twits in Twitterverse thrive on outrage.
Guilty by accusation.
Stalin would be proud.
Rot in hell Paterno!
Heck's bells. I'm an ancient Catholic and was probably in my forties before I realized that some Catholic priests were and are quintessential evil. I was an altar boy and a seminarian and was never propositioned a single time. Besides being an old buzzard, maybe I wasn't that attractive when young.
I suspect Paterno was dumbfounded about Sandusky and just wanted to do football stuff.
I doubt Paterno was a child molester or liked child molesters. My guess is he had a tremendously positive influence on many young men who were smart enough to take what Paterno had to offer.
He likely doesn't care anymore, but his life deserves accolades, not derision. If I had a son with football talent, I would have felt confident if he played on a team coached by Paterno.
One of my grandsons just started there-——it should be an interesting first month,.
.
I thin Penn State should drop football. Cannot believe they still want to memorialize and honor this animal.
Paterno did good things and set high standards for his players, many of whom went onto success in their lives.
For some here in PA, Paterno was “God” and the feelings still run strong. I am not part of that religious fervor about Joe Pa.
Joe said he made mistakes at the end, but I want to remember the good things he did, too.
