I loved the original Westworld. Futureworld was ok. The spinoff series was ok for the time.

Creativity is completely lost when you have to delve into the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s to “reimagine” some kind of plot.

It tells me they (our new generation of imagineers) may have learned about our past times for enjoyment and have applied new cinematographic advances to retell an old story, but they have learned absolutely effing nothing about the lessons and impacts that resulted..

I agree. Good remakes are rare. "The Fly" was good. The remake of "Rollerball" (which I consider a terrific movie) was unwatchably bad.
