Creativity is completely lost when you have to delve into the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s to “reimagine” some kind of plot.

It tells me they (our new generation of imagineers) may have learned about our past times for enjoyment and have applied new cinematographic advances to retell an old story, but they have learned absolutely effing nothing about the lessons and impacts that resulted..

Maybe someone should re-imagine the story of Briton King Vortigern, who brought in Hengist and Horsa (leaders of Angles & Saxons) as mercenaries, but ended up being conquered.

Except replace Angles & Saxons with Muslims.
