Isn’t he the guy who started a taxi company, with one car, for himself, just to use the special lanes and save time?

CEO of RyanAir, Michael O'Leary says the Irish Government should send a letter to the EU and tell them to "F*** Off" because the Treaty that created the European Economic Union specifically states that the member countries have autonomy on all taxation decisions. The EU's Antitrust commission has ZERO to say in such matters and is the most reversed of all EU department due to just such over reaching decision. PING!

Maybe the Irish should schedule a Brexit vote of their own.
Would they call it Irexit?

He could really stick the knife in if he just sent them a one word message: “IREXIT”.

Ireland got a lot of money from the EU. When I was there in 2006, all you saw were cranes for building construction, and road construction. Their economy really picked up when they joined the EU. The owner of one of the hotels we stayed in had been born in Ireland, but living in the U.S. since childhood. He left here and returned to Ireland in hopes of cashing in with the EU.

Maybe the Irish should schedule a Brexit vote of their own. Ireland would never do that...they get far too many Euros from the taxpayers of Germany,Sweden and,for a little while longer,Britain.Just as is the case here...if you get a government check you vote Rat,if you *fund* the checks through your sweat and blood, you vote Republican...if you're a "donee" nation (Ireland,Spain and Poland for example) you're pro EU,if you're not then you're anti.Or to put it another way..."when robbing Peter to pay Paul you can always depend on Paul's cooperation".

More like “Eirexit” in proper Gaelic

The owner of one of the hotels we stayed in had been born in Ireland, but living in the U.S. since childhood. He left here and returned to Ireland in hopes of cashing in with the EU. The EU claims that Ireland owes them 180 billion Euros from EU economic infrastructure loans. If they get any money from back taxes they claim other EU regulations require it must go to paying back those EU loans and not to Ireland spending that may be beneficial to Ireland. That explains what the EU AntiTrust Commission is really interested in.

Ireland should tell the EU “Pog Mo Thoin!” which is Irish Gaelic for “can’t we please discuss this like civilized people.”
