They did a nice job with updates in that house. Not overly ostentatious.

Amazing how little $1.75 million gets you in that neighborhood.

She was a member and they even had meetings in her house.
She claimed that she only joined to please her Grandfather. I have no idea if that was true or not.
I saw an old movie of her a while back. It was B&W and she was an absolute doll, much more attractive than when doing “I Love Lucy”.

A quick look at
IMDB shows Roman Scandals was her fourth film and she was uncredited in it and those previous. Her first credited role was her sixteenth movie, "Three Little Pigskins" with The Three Stooges.

I wonder what it went for back in 1933?

Lucy was a tough lady, she did not take much crap from anyone, but in person she really was a sweetheart. Yes I knew her, went to her house on Roxbury many many times.

You picked a fine home to sell me Lucille
With a cozy back porch
And fake trees that look real
You're making a killing
You're asking two million
But for Hollywood that's quite a steal
You picked a fine home to sell me Lucille

Good-looking house, thoughtfully and carefully updated. Bright, open and airy but the rooms are still clearly defined. Modern cabinetry and finishes but they sit well with the age of the house. Nice studio in back. 2 bedrooms would be a drag in most markets, though.
