When it comes to love, Martina Paillant wont settle for someone who has a credit score below 700.
I need a man who has his life together and can pay his bills, the 22-year-old Canarsie, Brooklyn, resident tells The Post.
Paillant, who attends graduate school in Miami, asks potential suitors their credit scores by the fourth date. While some may call her snooty for checking someones FICO number before becoming Facebook official, shes been focused on her finances since she was 16 years old and has a credit score above 800.

Presence of a hymen is not indicative of virginity, as everyone outside of medieval, barbaric religions already understands.
Then again, some men just want wives with good credit.
It's always 1952 at Free Republic.
Many arranged marriages are predicated on the girl being a virgin. The way I mentioned, is how it happens.
Granted, there are few arranged marriages in the US.
Bravo! What good can possibly come from dating an irresponsible man, financially or otherwise.
It’s not like she is saying she is after their money. Good for her.
So, you at the very least made a quick mental calculation about “her financial prospects” which is good vetting. I am sure you had many more criteria that made her very special to you. I am happy for you both. Congratulations. : )
I’ve warned my kids to be careful who they get serious with out there as they didn’t go to public school and therefore are years ahead of their peers educationally and financially (i.e., no debt at all, and well-paying jobs). I told them to string the other person along a bit to see if they’re grabbing at money...we’ll see how it goes, but I like the idea of pulling credit, along with a pre-nup. If the spouse doesn’t comply, there’s many more fish in the sea.
That’s what I was thinking.
True.
“you at the very least made a quick mental calculation about her financial prospects”
Nope. Not at all, really. I make good money. I don’t need the wife to do so as well. It’s a bonus, but it never crossed my mind. I didn’t want a baby factory who only wanted to have babies to keep from working, but her financial situation wasn’t something I cared about. If she is a mature responsible adult there will be no worries.
Posted from phone. Darn spellcheck. Sorry
A high credit score means that these men are smart enough to stay away from women like this who would abuse their credit capabilities to the max!!!!
Why do I care what some random 22 year old know nothing does? Why is this an article at all?
