A major new report, published today in the journal The New Atlantis, challenges the leading narratives that the media has pushed regarding sexual orientation and gender identity.

Co-authored by two of the nation’s leading scholars on mental health and sexuality, the 143-page report discusses over 200 peer-reviewed studies in the biological, psychological, and social sciences, painstakingly documenting what scientific research shows and does not show about sexuality and gender.

The major takeaway, as the editor of the journal explains, is that “some of the most frequently heard claims about sexuality and gender are not supported by scientific evidence.”

Here are four of the report’s most important conclusions:

There is no evidence that all such children should be encouraged to become transgender, much less subjected to hormone treatments or surgery.
Many libs who are so supportive of transgenderism are also very eco conscious. Generally loathe "man made" medications and even oppose vaccinations because they upset some balance in nature. It's not nice to fool Mother Nature they say. What could be more UNNATURAL than altering the sexual apparatus one was born with, surgically or chemically? Or for that matter indulging those who claim they were born with the "wrong" sex organs? Or is there some drug free natural holistic new agey way of performing such procedures?

What are the odds of a true hermaphrodite? 1 in 1,000,000?

As far as they know a true (human) hermaphrodite is beyond rare.

Here is what would have to happen.

You would have to have fraternal twins. One twin would have to absorb the other in the womb leaving their sexual organs totally intact.

Chances of that are slim but possible.

Here is where the problem arises.

For those organs to develop properly and be fully functional you would have to have your body secrete the proper hormones and what would help one set develop would retard the development of the other. But let us assume that happens somehow.

To produce viable sperm you need more testosterone then a normal female reproductive system could deal with.

To produce viable eggs you need more estrogen then the normal male reproductive system could deal with.

So one side could not be fertile.

Now you might be able to switch which side is fertile with hormone therapy but you would do major damage to the body.

So even with medical help a true hermaphrodite (both male and female at all times) is simply not possible.

That was a very rational question to ask: You must have been a conservative child.

I once knew several young boys who always spoke of their mother being “bigger” than their father. I was momentarily perplexed, since she was obviously much smaller, then realized that “bigger” meant older to them: “You can do that when you’re bigger.” The mother was a year older than the father.

There is no viable form of sexuality that can exist between two members of the same sex.

I propose the term “homoeroticism” as being more accurate: the eroticization of intimate contact between two persons of the same sex.

Non-heterosexual and transgender people have higher rates of mental health problems (anxiety, depression, suicide), as well as behavioral and social problems (substance abuse, intimate partner violence), than the general population.

Yes, that's because homosexuals and transsexuals are mentally ill!

My daughter apparently had a problem with that philosophy: Her older brother got to do things because he was older, and no other reason. She just could not grasp that concept, and spent her childhood not only being jealous of his age, but deliberately trying to sabotage anything he wanted to do.
