A 76’ Camaro was my first car at age 16. Cost 1200 bucks at the corner used car lot. Needless to say, it was super fun to cruise around in. Alas, I have no pictures. There are many things I would love to look back on but nobody ever took pics. I have none of myself during the golden years of being a skinny teenager lol. The few I had taken with friends were “lost” during a move. Of course this was before the days of cell phone cameras so..anyways my second car was a red Firebird. It looked sharp but just didn’t have the powerful 8 engine of the Camaro so not as zippy.

“My first car was a ‘70 Camaro”

At least they were easy to work on back then. Mine was an eleven year old 65 Mustang six banger with a 130k on it.

I always liked her. She put her solo career after leaving Blondie on hold to care for her ailing boyfriend/husband at the time. She did make a comeback of sorts and also has been in a number of movies.

Oh my goodness .. I loved my Camaro. Creamy yellow with a black top (to look like it was a convertible).

WOW! How time flies when you’re having fun.

Thank You.

I seemed to have remembered their indexing system, but haven’t used it in about 20 years and had forgotten all about it.

You can buy all the body pieces for a gen 1 - even the shell as repops. Restoration? Hummm..

You sure can but you can also spot the repop parts a mile away. The original sheet metal is thicker than the repop parts.

My cousin got one of the first Z-28s in '68 (I think that's right - they made some in '67 but not many). Orange with white stripes and really hauled.

I had a '74 and it was a nice ride but needed a little bit of extra oomph - the 350 was pretty tame.

I had a ‘67 convertible, 327, 210 hp (I think), automatic, black on black with the gold band around the front, gold interior. Had the round grill running lights (as in the video). Sweet little car until a drunk hit me head on and destroyed it. Passenger and I were lucky to survive (minor cuts and bruises).

I retired at 54 as the Head of Cataloging for a university library system. I used the LCCS for years

Why would you know anything about the back seat?

I wanted one and looked at a ‘68 model but Dad would not sanction the buy. I bought a near new ‘72 Cheyenne Super for $2,825 instead and still have it. I’ve never driven anything but a pickup since then.

Dad was right about the car.

I’m working on my 67 Camaro this morning, finishing up the last fender rust repair. They really are a thing of beauty. Jst about back on the road again.

Back in ‘81 I went for a Firebird instead. Better looking car.

Camaros never had much of a back seat to begin with, so I'm told, AHEM! ;)

My dad once rented one from Avis, for the then outrageous price of $15/day.
