The fresh pumpernickel croutons are totally addictive.

I went to one while I was living in PA. It was good, very expensive I thought...but ok...

I would really rather go to Lone Star Steak House...or slap a big juicy, thick rib eye on the BBQ grill...with grilled corn on the cob, a nice cold fruit bowl...yummmmy!!!

All these franchise deals are guided by MBAs from the same top schools.

If you want variety you definitely need to seek out the independent folks. And with the internet it’s much less of a crap shoot than in the old days if you’re traveling away from know territory.

Yes but this is much worse. Everything a retailer like a Macy’s sells, you can buy online and have it shipped. You can’t do that with a restaurant without the box nearby. This screams about a loss of entertainment dollars.

Used to go there alot before they went upscale.Sadly upscale to them meant smaller portions, lower quality and higher prices. When they eliminated half the items on the salad bar they lost me for good.I dont mind paying a quality price if I get a large portion and quality food.

Did not care for their food but they always seemed to be packed.

Still this is not a good thing. Economy is terrible.

They closed the one in the local mall several years ago. The closest one is about an hour away. Ate at one while visiting my son in Indianapolis last month. Had the salad bar which has always been good.

Yes. I agree.

I’d rather eat at home. I don’t use a warming lamp. ;)

I know the source of my ingredients ....and more often than not, cooked to my liking. ;)

There is a great Chinese place in a little strip mall a few minutes away. They apparently do very well.

The best crab rangoon in town by far.

I had the same reaction you did to RT. About 20 years ago, their salad bar was spectacular, and their food was well cooked and high quality. They lost their way.

Didn’t have steaks. One had chicken fried steak, one had half a slab of ribs dinner, two had pulled pork dinner. And yes, a ton of rolls which are absolutely the best. Since all their dinners come with two sides, we all ordered the loaded sweet potato for one of them. Just a lot of food. Don’t know how much the ‘rita was - only one person ordered alcohol. $51 plus the tip.
