If Donald Trump wins in 2016, remember this one poll number (Media begins to doubt own propaganda)
Washington Post ^ | August 12, 2016 20:03 MYT

Bloomberg in its new survey attempted to approximate Trump's view of the state of affairs in the United States, and it did the same for Clinton.

Here's the Trump description (which didn't name him but is apparent):

"The U.S. is in a dark and dangerous place, with threats from overseas and within our borders."

And here's the Clinton description:

"The U.S. is in a strong position for progress on the economy and national security."

Given those two options, 56 percent of likely 2016 voters picked the Trump version, and 40 percent picked the Clinton version.

This, again, is an approximation of the messages that undergird Trump's and Clinton's campaigns.

Neither summation is perfect, but they do pretty accurately describe the picture each candidate is painting of where the nation stands heading into the 2016 election.

Clinton says the economy is getting better and we need steady, strong leadership to keep progressing.

Trump says everything is terrible and our very way of life is threatened or even under attack.

The latter message appears to be more in line with voters, at least according to this one poll.

(Mods, excuse my editing off, of the beginning. I believe this article boiled down to the bit I quoted, otherwise I understand we quote from the beginning)

This is a good article.

We have been bombarded by two weeks of non-stop Trump bashing by every media outlet, on both the right and the majority on the left.

Every single media outlet, is in full court press against Trump.

But the people, are behind him. The media, is out to lunch.

Big time.

I’m sure the MSM knows this is the real state of affairs and that’s why they’re working so hard to bring him down.

Trump needs to keep hammering Hillary’s corruption, lies, and her support for uncontrolled illegal immigration.

Why does it say the Washington Post is the source when it later says that something called astroawani is the source?

The Media and their organic blueberries, Ivy-Commie-trust fund, 10 inch biceps, latte world have no idea how much even moderates support Trump. Smell their haymaker desperation in the articles as they get farther from reality and begin Liberal projection.

In concept, many of us have probably speculated about a future time when communications technology would make the mass media obsolete, and that we could obtain our news directly from primary sources. Few of us probably guess it would be happening right now. Every time Donald Trump sends out a tweet, he directly communicates with 11 million people.

Trump is changing/has changed politics forever.

I honestly think the media screwed up....

I think they took off the masks and went 100% all in pro-Hillary far too soon. True, throwing out any hint of being unbiased and going full 24/7 nuclear worked for a week or two, they managed to drive Trump's poll numbers down, but that has begun to wear off and the polls are starting to drift back to the middle. And now the liberal media is starting to be mocked for being so blatantly pro-Hillary and the public at large is beginning to tune them out....

The problem, for them and Hillary, is the election is still 13 weeks away and they have already dropped their entire arsenal. At this point forward nothing bad they can say about Trump is going to get a reaction because they have already used everything.

I think Trump has more direct readers, than many mainstream media outlets.

Even the big ones.

I believe you are completely right. The media is in the last days of power. They are losing their grip, and thank goodness, Trump is doing it.

Go Trump.

A very liberal Facebook friend of mine is worried about the non-stop Trump bashing, fearing it will elect him.

I personally don’t want to ever see the return here of the intolerant mole/troll haters for whom only Rafe Cruz would allegedly do, so that Herself could be made queen and establish the caliphate in America.

"Given those two options, 56 percent of likely 2016 voters picked the Trump version, and 40 percent picked the Clinton version."

I reference this news source again and my denoting of them is nothing specific, other than a group of professionals responding to an industry magazine.

And that Weekly Magazine/Newspaper is "Investment News". Note it is not a lightweight publication IMHO http://www.investmentnews.com/

I don't have the time as of recent to truly read it like I used too. However, one of the more recent issues asked the Trump V Kim Jung Shrill question. I don't remember the Hillary number, but the Trump number was 56%.

My lips to G-d's ears I have been saying for over a year that this is going to be a flippin' blowout, and 56% is in that territory. Mind you I think he can go into the 60's% but that is just me.

I'll take 56% for $200 in the category of Liberal Friends and Relatives Schadenfreude on Nov. 9th Alex....

"Trump is changing/has changed politics forever."

I commented yesterday about a dear Sr Citizen Conservative Jewish friend in deep angst about this election and Trump. I told him fear not. BigBob, IMHO nothing this election cycle is going to the D & R and Media script. It is a paradigm changer, and Trump may have taken a black swan ( or white Swan IMHO ) set of circumstances, realized it and rolled with it, this includes social media of which Obama was supposedly mastered, and IMHO DJT has blown away what he did. Add to that, ( even a liberal relative admitted it recently in a phone call) that "he was thinking about voting for DJT" and he agreed with me that both parties suck. He got their without me, and this is a beautiful thing. Trump will be the beneficiary of telling both parties, K-Street and the DNC beltway, "Up Yours".

Nothing old fashion this cycle is working. I said over a year ago, Negatives won't matter, nailed it. TV talking heads acting like they are trollops for Izvestia or Pravda ( of which my dear retired College Prof noted, he knew the Soviet ways and we have them now in his opinion).

I will go on to say I don't think direct mailing or even the Debates will matter, I think everyone has darn near tuned out and can't stand it. Trump was right dang it, lets just have the election now!

Hillary is right back where she has pretty much always been, stuck in the low 40’s.

Hillary’s number is ALL that matters.

Trump WILL get all of the 15-20+% “saying” they are currently undecided or “saying” they are supporting _______ 3rd party candidate.
