Has anyone else received weird calls from a place called MapSupport? It starts with a recorded intro that say many people have flagged your business address as inaccurate, to correct the info press a number to talk to an associate..."
I tried to get some info out of someone who identified himself as Aaron, but he became very testy when I would not cooperate with his line of questioning.
I have been called several times by this company, I ask them to stop calling, my info is correct on Google and Google maps, so I'm not sure what they are up to.
I got this call from the “democrats” wanting me to “vote for Hillary.” It all sounded sketchy to me. I’m pretty sure its some kind of scam.
LOL I love playing with these guys too!
With luck you will get them to scream that God will get you for this - to which you can reply “not as much as he will get scammers”
Google “Ebola Monkey Man” for a NSFW web site dedicated to ‘scamming the scammers’
Isn’t that the outfit that puts the colored stickers on mailboxes?
Isn’t caller ID great? I seldom answer phone if the caller is unknown to me.
I have a totally generic Anglo Saxon name.
But I can do a very credible heavily Indian accented English.
Throws them for a loop every time.
Except now they can spoof caller ID pretty easily it seems.
I get fake calls from Russia or somewhere that show
202 area code
and “IRS BUREAU”
I am guessing the word has spread that I am a stingy retired man and do not buy anything they are selling by phone...hahaha...I get very few random calls.
easy peasy
Oh, very good! I am happy for you! Would you might be wanting some good new license for doors? I got them right now here to send them out to you at where you am living, my friend!! How many door have you? My name is Charles Abercromby and I want to be your supplier man. I am being at Cape Cod now.
“All I get is calls from Frank in India wanting to sell me some Windows license”
I tell them I cannot find the “any” key. Been keeping me up nights.
I don't like cod. I prefer salmon.
I asked if this was a spam call, no ma'am I just am calling to help you repair your computer windows system..
so I told him I use ANDERSON WINDOWS AND PELLA WINDOWS AND DON'T HAVE A COMPUTER..
I LAUGHED AND HUNG UP, DID NOT GIVE HIM THE PRIVILEGE TO HANG UP ON ME..
SO THEN I WENT TO REDIAL HIS NUMBER. AND IT CAME UP ON MY CAPTIONCALL PHONE. AS A NON WORKING NUMBER AND HAS BEEN DISCONNECTED...
MADE SURE IT WAS ALL DELETED ON MY PHONE MENU.
CRAZY WORLD WE ARE LIVING IN..
No calls, but weirdness in real life.
I caught the Google Maps street view lady on my dead end street a few years ago. Went out and asked her what’s up with the camera thingy on top of the tiny subcompact car.
Told her I didn’t want my house photographed and on the internet; she said ok, she wouldn’t, but did it anyway.
Few years later, I got a mailer from the intrusive American Community Survey, put out by the Census Department. I refused to answer and return mail it; then I began getting harassing personal visits.
It was the SAME WOMAN as the Google streets lady!
Google “Keyhole, Inc.”
Google Earth started out as a government mapping project, funded by the CIA. Intelligence gathering on private citizens has been Google’s mission from its inception.
I had one of those calls 2 days ago. The caller started with “This is (some name) from Microsoft tech support...” I interrupted by just saying “No, you’re not.” Caller immediately hung up.
If they call me they will answer MY questions or get the handy airhorn. I DO hope.they’re wearing headphones or good earbuds!
Ha! I got one of those last week. I said - tell me more and put the phone down. Came back just as he was saying so can you provide me access to your computer now and I said - well see the thing is all my computers are apple products... buzzzzz went the phone LOL
OK, I go to Cape Salmon an call you when I get to.
[Monkey Man avenger] From one of his Nigerian scammers: “My husband was hijacked and was killed by the rebels. Two days before his death he managed to sneak out a written message informing me of a trunk box which he conceived under the roof of our house containing valuables and cash sum of ($28.500,000USD)>
Her father had sex in the attic? ROTFLMAO!
