    Not even close, Bob Hope. A lot of other good ones such as Jack Benny, but no one could touch Hope. He was also somewhat conservative.

    I agree with Red Skelton. He could act and he could perform standup comedy. We saw him at the Arizona State fair in the 1980’s. He had us falling out of our seats just reading a poem about frogs.
