What is this that I just saw? "Experimental Vehicle, Weapons Division?

At 11:30 eastern, just north of Tampa in Lutz FL. There was a black SUV type car with emergency white flashers turning into the subdivision I was coming out of.

In white lettering it said "Experimental Vehicle, Weapons Division" Too stunned to get my camera I repeated to myself what I saw and stopped soon after to write it down.

I have searched the internet to try to find a picture and cannot. Nothing comes even close. I know FReepers are very smart and will help answer this mystery. I Didn't know where to post this other than chat, but it merits some discussion.

I am a bit freaked out. It was clearly marked with flashing lights so it's not something they are trying to hide from the public. Is this some kind of joke? It wasn't funny.

Yes it worked. It caused you to lose your mental faculties momentarily so you wouldn’t grab your camera and start filming. To be used in the near future by all police officers when confronting a suspect in the field so any bystanders will also forget to grab their cameras and start filming.

Thanks, but the flashers were like a police vehicles have and white, not blue or red and not your typical automobile flashers. The vehicle was clearly an expensive one, not some idiot’s toy.

You can get those flashers easily and legally.

LEO flashers were expensive 10 years ago, dirt cheap today. White flashers have no meaning whatsoever, not even for use on escort vehicles. Headlight wigwag circuits are 10 bucks now, used to be expensive also.

It seems every out of work redneck around here is driving a $50,000 crew cab, diesel 3/4 ton truck. Unless it had pintle mounts and armor, it was nothing.
