Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus called Donald Trump Tuesday to express frustration with the presidential candidates campaign and how he has handled his prolonged feud with the family of a slain Muslim-American soldier, according to several party sources familiar with the conversation.
Its a sign of the growing angst within the GOP over a candidate who has veered away from his core talking points since the conclusion of last months Republican National Convention.

A Cruzer posting this. Surprise.
You happy now?
Winning campaigns have disciplined messages. At all levels. He is going to get crushed giving all these wide-ranging comments. Many are out of context, but campaigns lose on small out of context comments. He’s just got to stick to his message and repeat and expand on everything he discussed during his convention speech. Nothing about Russians, nuclear bombs, mothers of soldiers, etc. It just will not be successful. Hit the points over and over again and add new aspects. New news of Hillary corruption. New details of VA reform, new ideas on tax reform, etc. Make the news. Don’t let the news define him. They are doing that extremely effectively over the past 7 days. The Dems/media are trying to bury him early like Romney got buried with the 47% secret video.
Sorry, I don’t want to play word games with you. Bye.
Why is it important that everyone be unified in August? The important thing is that everyone is on the same page in November. There is plenty of time to iron out wrinkles.
Ah yes, the Tokyo Rose media's favorite sources (made up out of whole cloth), and look - there are several of them!!
You know who these people in the media are? They're the ones in the 60's who sold you nickel bags of oregano and told you it was pot, and you believed them!
It will blow over. News cycles can only run 7 days.
If we can forget when a Muslim terrorist plowed children under a truck or when a BLM sniper killed 5 cops after a week, then this will soon as well. There is plenty of time left. It isnt even October.
So get your emotions out so we can focus.
Khan is a bit player. As long as you are focused on him, then you can’t bitch at the Gope and press for making it their obsession.
Our job, as well as Trump, is to set the table two weeks ahead and control the flow before the rest of society catches up.
So lets go, people!
F them.
his prolonged feud <<
(its the MSM feud)....I stopped reading right there!!!
Haven’t any of you peeps learned ANYTHING over the last few years? This is all MSM propaganda to keep you guys fretting and to make us all demand that Trump be “more Romney/McCain/Ryan like” so he can lose yet another easily won election because the Dem’s/MSM don’t want any of us to fight back. So you can all just either stiffen your backbone and let Trump be Trump and support that, or be content to let the MSM, yet again, help you decide to lose another election.
PS: Yes, I know most of these articles are posted by sour Cruzbots & NeverTrumpers but stop giving them so much attention!!
The eGOP is yesterday’s news.
Yahoo is such a reliable pos not a reliable news story.
Fear. Fear. Fear. Thats all you have to offer. Please start a hankie-clutching fear group here and leave the rest of us Trump supporters in peace.
The sunshine patriots sure are coming out from under their rocks now to take shots at Trump.
Sorry, I dont want to play word games with you. Bye.
Dump and run. Typical.
Sunshine Patriot! That’s the ticket. I’ll be using that in future, thanks.
This was a planned attack and no matter what Trump did in response it would be characterized as an attack on “Gold Star parents”. Script was written before Khan uttered a word.
A bus was attacked in Paris yesterday with Molotov cocktails. Crickets from the msm. It’ll take a total massacre now to get their attention.
Sunshine Patriot! Thats the ticket. Ill be using that in future, thanks.
Sure. But I can’t take credit. It’s an expression from the Revolutionary War. Thomas Paine coined the term.
Oh, no. I love a good conversation here on FR, and sometimes I even learn a thing or two! But I avoid making it personal. And I do not appreciate it when someone else does. So when someone starts twisting words, then tells me it's time to "man up", I figure that conversation will be going nowhere. Best to pull the plug.
That I know. But I didn’t think to use it.
Priebus, just shut up and go away. You are disgusting.
