Gingrich blasts Trump's 'very self-destructive' behavior
Politico ^ | August 3, 2016 | Nick Gass

Posted on 08/03/2016 7:50:54 AM PDT by Pinkbell

Donald Trump's behavior over the last week has been "very self-destructive" to his campaign, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Wednesday, comparing the Republican nominee to a Hall of Fame quarterback who is in the midst of an interception-throwing slump.

"Trump is still behaving like as though it was the primaries and there were 17 candidates. He has not made the transition to being the potential president of the United States, which is a much tougher league," Gingrich said in an interview with Fox Business' "Mornings with Maria." "People are going to watch you every single day. They’re going to take everything they can out of context, and he is not yet performing at the level that you need to."

Gingrich remarked that Trump's performance recalled quarterback Joe Montana's "stretch during his career where he kept throwing interceptions; and for about half a season, it looked like he wasn’t Joe Montana anymore."

"And then he figured out what he was doing, and he changed. Trump, Trump is in that kind of a slump," said Gingrich, a Trump supporter who was under final consideration for the vice presidential slot before Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was chosen.

"It’s like watching a team go out on the field, throw an interception on the first play and go back off the field again," Gingrich continued, alluding to a host of recent comments and battles Trump has waged over the course of the last week, including sparring with the family of a fallen U.S. Army captain who spoke out against him at the Democratic convention, refusing to back prominent Republicans like Paul Ryan, John McCain and Kelly Ayotte in their elections, joking about tossing a baby out of his rally on Tuesday and generally responding to any personal attack against him."

“I agree with Gingrich”

Still concern trolling.

We are at war. Get the stomach for it or stop posting your concerns. Trump is doing great. The Khan thing was a gift.

What Trump says today about Ryan won't matter.

Maybe, but I don't see how alienating the party helps get him elected. We'll see.

"...he is snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The ene media is just looking for stuff like this to take him down. Why hand them the ammo?"

Exactly!

Trump has more experience in his little finger than Barry O ever had. This country elected a community organizer i.e., Communist and he in turn has surrounded himself with Muslims and other anti-American and anti-freedom enemies. This election is Trump's to lose.

I read off the negative traits of Hillary as to what her Scorpio horoscope provides, it’s Donald’s turn.

Gemini Male Negative Traits:

Flirtatious
Unemotional
Sarcastic
Devious
Flighty
Restless
Moody
Impulsive

Lack of Consistency-Gemini-born are so sharp and prompt that it is hard for them to stay interested and focused in the projects they start with. Such inconsistency is their main drawback.

Superficial-Gemini-born are often tagged as superficial people because of their inability to delve deep and pay attention to details.

Anxious-Gemini-born are full of energy, but have a tendency to bite off more than they can chew. This leads to anxiousness and makes them erratic.

I always think, “the reporters and reporeretts are on a payroll they speak the thoughts of the payee. Trump has earned his own money by being smart and thoughtful. The media has been given orders to pass the word, and work, work the phrase that “TRUMP IS IN TROUBLE”. The political Newts think political thoughts which are ???? me. They think of the next camera to appear before and agree/semi agree/skip around the latest Trump Trouble to keep before the public.
I listen to Trump and what he says, little of what the presstitutes say he said.

This has been true the past week. I think it's essential that Trump wins in November - the consequences of a Hillary win would destroy this nation - and he can't have more weeks like this last week. He needs to be smarter, less sensitive and more agile in responding to a very hostile MSM.

Trump is proving his critics correct. Unfortunately it’s too late to undo the damage.

Your words apply to yourself better than to Trump. You have been posting the same anti-Trump nonsense for months and months. You kind of went a little underground for a while, but your core beliefs haven't changed at all, have they? Why should any of us pay attention to anything you write about Trump? I will let others judge your motivation after viewing a few of your previous posts.

Trump is deranged. Some of his followers even more so.

I don’t think it’s possible to make sense to Trump supporters. They are beyond help. It’s like trying to calm a rabid pit bull.

I have voted Republican since 1980 and I am ready to jump ship if Trump is nominated. So it works both ways.

‎4‎/‎1‎/‎2016‎ ‎5‎:‎53‎:‎50‎ ‎PM · 85 of 157 Brilliant to mtrott

One of the main reasons I will not be voting for Trump even if he’s nominated is that I don’t think he’s a Republican.

‎4‎/‎16‎/‎2016‎ ‎5‎:‎12‎:‎52‎ ‎PM · 70 of 96 Brilliant to 2ndDivisionVet

A lot of us have been saying from the beginning that Trump and Sanders are pretty much identical on the issues.

‎4‎/‎4‎/‎2016‎ ‎6‎:‎56‎:‎44‎ ‎AM · 18 of 280 Brilliant to xzins

Trump isn’t a Republican and never has been one. His supporters will probably jump ship if he isn’t nominated but a lot of other Republicans will jump ship if he is nominated. The GOP will probably lose this election either way but the party itself will cease to exist as we know it if Trump is its leader. If Trump is turned away then those “new” voters will simply go back to where they came from.

‎4‎/‎11‎/‎2016‎ ‎4‎:‎07‎:‎40‎ ‎PM · 15 of 66 Brilliant to Starman417

He may not have filed personal bankruptcy but his companies have filed. And it was his poor management that caused those companies to go under.

‎4‎/‎11‎/‎2016‎ ‎4‎:‎05‎:‎26‎ ‎PM · 11 of 66 Brilliant to Starman417

The reason Trump lost Colorado is that he’s incompetent. Trump did not get his team organized in Colorado. And this is the same kind of screw up we can expect to see on a regular basis if Trump is elected President.

‎4‎/‎11‎/‎2016‎ ‎11‎:‎16‎:‎56‎ ‎AM · 7 of 282 Brilliant to GilGil

So Cruz is the winner? If Trump can’t even beat Cruz how is he going to beat Hillary?

‎4‎/‎11‎/‎2016‎ ‎7‎:‎19‎:‎20‎ ‎AM · 15 of 50 Brilliant to Be Careful

I think Trump greatly overplayed his hand on this anti-establishment strategy. He doesn’t seem to comprehend that he needs that 1/3 of the GOP to win. At this point he cant unbreak the eggs. And I think it’s pretty clear that the philosophy that says “they have no where else to go” isn’t true. They are gone.

Newt needs to shut his pie hole. Trump is running a masterful campaign and knows exactly what he’s doing. He’s playing the media and his critics like a Stradivarius .

Ever since I saw Newt on that park bench with Pelosi telling us how we need to fight global warming I’ve known that he is a part of the very system that is the enemy of all that America stood for.

I have no time for anything this man says.

I still say he should apologize to the mother.

I think it's best that he just drop the subject. He should never have gotten into the whole question of what sacrifices he made, let alone why the mother didn't speak - he should have taken the offensive by talking about the prevalence of Muslim terrorism vs the sacrifice of this one soldier - but it's over and it should stay over. There's no good that can be accomplished by bringing it up again.

Newt is yakking about how it should be done...hasn’t he had two tries at it? Never got past the primary?

“There’s no good that can be accomplished by bringing it up again. “

Angry self righteous Muslims screaming on TV only helps Trump. Plus Khan’s background coming out shows what a piece of garbage he is. This all helps Trump.

Do you think the Muslim attacks on Trump are going to stop if he drops this? We are at war. Bring the cockroaches into the light and get them talking about Sharia.

Trump has a problem with many in the GOPe, that do support him! Gingrich and others are still stuck in the media narrative world and fearful of it. If that’s the case they will be of little good to him. The media is the enemy! Maybe even more than Hillary. Their attacks have been and will continue to be nuclear!

Protect our guy Newt... this is revolution!!! Fear don’t win!
