A Baguette Vending Machine? It's Open in San Francisco
NBC Bay Area ^ | 7/28

Posted on 07/28/2016 12:15:48 PM PDT by nickcarraway

There's nothing like a fresh baguette, hot out of the oven. And one company has made it as easy and quick to get as a Snickers bar.

Le Bread Xpress has opened vending machines in San Francsico that produce hot and fresh baguettes in seconds. The machines are operating at the new Myriad market in the Castro.

The baguettes rise at a bakery in Burlingame and are slighty baked. The baking process finishes in the vending machine. Operators say the machine is a hit in France.

"In a mall next to transportation, people come back from work, get their fresh baguette and get home," says Anthony Fountaine, of Le Bread Xpress.

A baguette costs $4.25 and comes out in about 20 seconds. Le Bread Xpress is hoping to expand operations around the Bay Area. In addition to France, it currently has machines in Russia, the U.K. and China.

I would love to have something like that nearby. The closet bakery is 50 miles from my house. I’m talking about a real bakery, not corporate bread from the local grocery store oven that just reheats premade dough.

I owned a vending machine route with lots of machines, candy, soda, video games.

Those were a B#TCH to fix, so I can only imagine how expensive or difficult it will be to get one of theses up and going if it breaks down, and vending machines ALWAYS break down, I dont care what year it is or how new and cutting edge they are

You could make a lot of bread from these machines.

Plus the shelf life of a piece of bread is a day, maybe two. Maybe longer if wrapped in plastic.

It also doubles as a bread crumb vending machine.

It is widely accepted that the gheys have lots of disposable income.

I should invent something to sell to gullible homos, like an AIDS warmer. It warms your AIDS.

Didn’t even think about THAT.

Forget about it.

The no 1 job of most vending machine companies is to get rich and get out before too many complaints are brought against them.

There are 3 or 4 dependable machine brands.

I would NEVER touch food machines. That’s why there’s so many on sale used.

Please note this this product is marketed towards homos on the go, who have busy lifestyles.

It is not marketed to normal humans.

“Put the Cheetos back or else”

who knew that Glenn Beck patronized vending machines.

My wife and kids just moved to France, (from San Francisco) I asked my son the best part of the new house, he said the bakery about 4 doors down the street.
