So, Trump is the candidate. Unlike Ted Cruz, a man I supported and still respect, I do endorse The Donald for President of These Unites States.
That being said, I always look at who runs for office in a futuristic way. What I mean is, what will our future be like if said politician got what he wants when elected.
It's an easy question that I have yet to hear anyone ask, or answer. What if Donald Trump does build the wall and it works so well that the only way in, or out of America is through Trump Wall?
Back in 2002 when George Bush suggested that we need a new dept to handle America's security, I screamed "HELL NO"! I did so, because we did not have a problem with security when 9/11 happened.
Nope, we had a problem with Bill Clinton wanting to stay out of jail over WhiteWater. So he had Jamie S. Gorelick create a wall of separation where information could not be shared. Thus we knew about the plot, but the people who knew could not tell the ones who needed to stop it from happening. (I'll let you all discuss that, but this is about something else)
Now we live under a government that in essence has a new dept that is above the law. A dept that Obama has been turning into his own little SS. Just wait, another lawless one will come one day to close the loop and end our freedom forever. The pieces are almost in place, minus one huge piece. A Wall!
So let's say in 8 years we are watching the greatest President in history retire after tuning the economy around. Immigration and terrorism has been defeated, Thanks in part to the, Trump Wall". We all praise him by electing his son, the junior Senator from NY, Eric Trump, as the next President of the United States.
Time s are good, we all stop paying attention until things go bad again, as they always do, as they always will, and Eric loses after 4 years to a politician that will make Obama look like a school kid.
This leader now turns things around to the point he/she turns Trump Wall into an iron curtain to stop us from fleeing his tyrannical rule.
So, what's to stop this future dictator from using the wall to keep us from fleeing?
You are missing the trenchant point. We are behind the curve of descent into totalitarianism. Where is it you want to go to escape America? Where should I want to go? This is the final resting place of Liberty. If we cannot protect it here the wall is not an issue.
I believe there will be a monster vote for Trump and he will swing the pendulum back to commonsense and states rights, unraveling burdensome regulations and waste. Newt is on board re the waste.
Each generation needs to fight for Liberty themselves. Raise your children to value it and fight for it instead of being a chicken little.

The Iron Curtain was mostly barbed wire, checkpoints, and roving patrols.
We aren’t even bad enough for the immigrants to leave.
But it sounds like Democrats are thinking of doing just that.
Nobody is running. If the Wall becomes something to keep us in, then we start fixing the damn problem, with force if necessary. We don’t run and hide like cowardly Muslims and seek refugee status.
