Trump reportedly thought about dumping Pence as VP. Which is believable, thanks to Trump

Somebody close to Donald Trump's campaign is apparently leaking something very unhelpful.

Needless to say, having rumors out there that you thought about dumping your vice presidential pick 12 hours after his name started leaking is a bad thing. If you're Mike Pence, you just affixed your brand to Trump's for the next four months -- and perhaps the rest of your career -- and the botched handling of the VP rollout has now culminated in this. Not exactly a confidence-booster.

If anything, this leak is just the latest proof of how poorly the whole thing has been handled. And that poor handling, in turn, makes the rumor seem quite plausible.

Also making it believable: Basically everything the Trump campaign said on Thursday. Here's a sampling (with a big assist from The Post's Robert Costa). All of this came after Pence's name emerged as the likely pick late Thursday morning.

Pence brings not one extra vote with him. GOPe forced this choice onto Trump.

There were other options. Sessions was an option. Rick Santorum was too. He ran against free trade in 2012 and was tough on immigration. Not to mention, he could have gotten the social conservative vote. He worked in the Senate, so he would know how to get bills passed. As far as Christie, at least he has been loyal and supported Trump from early on, not once bashing him to the press.

That’s my opinion as well. I think Trump’s gut said Christie. Advisors, RNC, and probably family in his ear for Pence.

Why does Christie’s overt support of radical Islam not bother you?

-—(Pence)...Being “right” on the issues is meaningless after Cruz’s massive fake out as a “Christian Conservative”.-—

In what world does that make sense...?

Because Cruz is a fake christian, Pence is one also...?

Yes, the GOPe strategy of having people like Cruz or even Pence be “right” on issues is the old way of letting us know what they really believe.

Cruz outed himself as a GOPe Bushie Globalist despite his “Green Eggs and Ham” fake filibusters, grandstanding and overall impotency in the Senate.

He was the GOPe’s fall guy, used to keep up the illusion this is not a Uniparty.

Pence is cut from the same cloth. Pro TPP/Globalist tendencies nix any phony “stand” on social issues.

Cruz and Obama have exhausted that “left vs right -1980’s” way of looking at things — in reality they are globalists working for the same goal.

Any real Christian would never have allowed the Beck laying on of hands weirdness that Cruz allowed — or to have Neil Bush doing your finances...

Pence is the Club For Growth boy along with Cruz and the GOPe.

Trump’s been trumped.

I’m not not very aware of it, but how supportive can he be if he endorsed and worked for Trump with one of the toughest policies on the matter? When the GOP establishment was out there rushing to condemn Trump, Christie stood by him. Pence publicly criticized Trump’s Muslim policy.

Here’s one of many articles on the subject. Given CAIR’s terrorist ties, see if the below excerpt doesn’t concern you:

‘In 2013, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) named Christie to their “Best List,” identifying him as one of the most outstanding public officials in the nation for his work to enhance relations between Muslims and other Americans.’

Just a suggestion...

You might want to loosen that tin foil hat a bit...

Is that all you got? LOL. I remember being told that two years ago because I smelled the GOPe rat virus on Cruz...I was proved correct.

Either you understand the problem of Globalism or you don’t.
