Hillary Clinton did not swear an oath to tell the truth before meeting with the FBI for three and a half hours last weekend, and the interview was not recorded, FBI Director James Comey told House lawmakers on Thursday.
The lack of a sworn oath does not remove the possibility of criminal penalties against Clinton if she lied to the FBI, though he said he had “no basis to conclude” that she was untruthful. “Still a crime to lie to us,” Comey told the House Oversight Committee. FBI policy is not to record interviews as part of its investigations.
Yet the revelations will nonetheless raise questions among Republicans, who have been skeptical of the FBI’s investigation and have demanded to see the transcript of the former secretary of State’s interview in downtown Washington on Saturday.
“Well, that’s a problem,” Rep. John Mica (R-Fla.) told Comey when the FBI chief explained the terms of the interview.

There was a reason that they didn’t record it. You couldn’t hear anything being said anyway as they all sat around yoking it up at the American people. In Yo Face! America!
In conjunction with the Dallas police, they didn’t record Oswald either.
He said no transcripts. He ‘reviewed’ notes taken from the FBI agents present when Hillary was ‘grilled’. NO INTEGRITY IN OUR FBI.
They followed the sames rules the media follows if they want an interview. All questions must be submitted a week in advance and Hillary reserves the right veto any negative questions being asked during the interview, also a generous donation must be placed to the Clinton Foundation prior to any interview.
Comey has problems with logic.
Hillary was clearly not “grilled”, in fact it sounds like she wasn’t even lightly toasted.
Comey got the orders to tank the investigation right after the snakes on the plane meeting. And he wasted no time tanking it.
The FBI did not go over to the Clinton home to conduct an interview, they went over to join in on the 4th of July BBQ.....
What government employee (other than cops and firemen) work the 4th of July weekend?

We had so much respect for those guys, back in the ‘60s...
Yeah, they just buttered her up. They probably asked her for advice on what to tell the congressional committee.

No one...not even the FBI director can explain away the sequence of events during this faux investigation. We citizens have no recourse? We have to just sit back and take a big bite out of this $H!7 sandwich?

Well, even the FBI has enough sense not to record themselves conspiring to obstruct justice.
Forget the oath business. It’s a red herring. The point of this is what bloody suspect who is interviewed by the FBI is not taped audio or video taped. It’s obvious the fix was in and a show interview. Taping her would have exposed her to an unfiltered interview and possible further claims of lying.

Well, maybe the FBI rarely ever tapes or videos people, and they hardly ever have people swear under oath. Maybe they just were careless, NO INTENT to botch up the interview, just careless like the emails, like the administration. Maybe the FBI guy needs to go to prison as an accomplice.
