Facebook Notification Symbol - What does It Mean?

Facebook Notification Symbol

On my Facebook page, I received a "Notification" from an individual with a symbol I am not familiar.

The date & time is just to the right of the symbol.

Googling has not provided any information re: what this symbol represents and its relationship to the personal Notification.

The symbol image is very small so attached image has been enlarged. It appears to be a circle surrounded by 6 smaller circles.

Any help from facebook experts will be appreciated.

FB constantly bothers people with changes, symbols, notifications from strangers, etc. I ignore all of them.

It is the number of the beast. Six circles surrounding a larger circle that is twice the diameter of the 6. Ergo 666

I believe that is some kind of App that wants permission to access your profile. I would ignore it.

That is the “Science & Technology” symbol. You should check your notification settings at the top of the page.

Actually, it’s the Sports notification symbol. You may have asked to be notified when something was trending in sports.

Again, check the top of Facebook for your setting in notifications.
