I just recently read that a President who is under Articles of Impeachment, may not issue any Pardons.
We now know that Obamas immigration policy was illegal. Why not file for Impeachment and let the clock run out? I think Hillary would have a "huge" problem with this action!
Noted, thank you!
A person can be pardoned for crimes they committed and haven't been charged with, like Nixon. However, I don't believe that a pardon can be given for all future crimes not yet committed. Otherwise, it would be a unlimited license to commit crimes without any possibility of prosecution.
“Bambi will pardon himself...his criminal crew and Hillary as he leaves office.”
I’m not so sure. There is no love lost between Obama and the Clintons.
If Hillary loses the election she is of no further use to Obama in protecting his “legacy.”. He may just decide to drive a stake through her heart as a counter to Arkancide.
After all why waste a pardon on someone who constantly claims innocence? Tell her he believes her and a trial will serve to exonerate her for all time!
We all know she is guilty of many things up to and probably including Treason. A convicted Hillary would provide Obama with a ready scapegoat for his failed foreign policies.
Couple that with a corruption/RICO trial of Mr. Bill and the Clinton Foundation will take out the rest of the family including Chelsea.
There are a lot of upsides to NOT giving Hillary a blanket pardon. Let the Republicans get the blame for her fall is just the last of these. Revenge is best serve cold! Especially if you can keep your own hands clean.
He appears to be on her side or he would have had the Justice department take all that FBI criminal evidence against her and run with it.
Just my $0.02.
“A person can be pardoned by the President for all crimes, past, present and future.”
Future crimes?
Please cite source-references or established precedent for that absurd statement.
Are you sure about "future crimes"?
I seriously doubt Nixon could go out and rob banks without penalty after his pardon.
Ford's pardon had a specific timeline.
It extended to the end of Nixon's resignation.
Only federal crimes, not state crimes...........
18.7 million immigrants to Avoid Oath of Allegiance, Pledge to Defend America. Biggest pardon in my lifetime.

Am thinking this is the army (along with natural born progressives) that will rise up against individual freedoms and American values as we once knew them long time ago. At least in the voting booth.
Most of them believe that its not corruption, rather its commission.
A president has full use of his powers while under impeachment. Once convicted by the Senate, he would be immediately removed from office and thus stripped of his powers. Until that moment, though, the fact that the House had impeached him would not affect his ability to pardon whomever he wants.
Pretty clever. And tho the R’s won’t do it, you know the D’s wouldn’t hesitate!
So many possibilities! This is a new one on me. I like it!
>> A convicted Hillary would provide Obama with a ready scapegoat for his failed foreign policies.
I wonder if 0vomit has considered that. 0vomit’s entire life has been all about blame, so this should appeal to him.
So, then he could pardon himself upon the initiation of impeachment proceedings?
The actual text of the Constitution is your friend.
Here is the relevant provision, Article II, Section 2, Clause 1:
The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, when called into the actual service of the United States; he may require the opinion, in writing, of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices, and he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.
As I read this, the President has a plenary power of pardons and reprieves (i.e., commutation of sentences), but this does not apply to federal office holders who have been impeached (in other words, the President cannot stop an impeachment proceeding by “pardoning” the person who was impeached). This provision does not state that the President’s pardon power is suspended if and when he is impeached.
I think that you might be exaggerating there, just a bit.
No hurry. He’s keeping his options open until Nov. Obama has no loyalty to the Clintons whatsoever.
Maybe. But maybe not. Check out this take on the question.
Obama will issue a blanket pardon for everyone except for white, US citizen criminals.
