This is a "bug"? As far as I am concerned; you paid for the content, you are free to view it as often as you wish.

If you really want it, video it off the screen.

OTOH, downloading videos from YouTube is a piece of cake. Ditto the audio from those videos. You can do both with apps that can be loaded into Firefox. No such luck, however, with Google Chrome.

I’m amazed that people still pay for recorded music.

You can dispense with all of that with a $30 Anrdoid TV box from eBay with the Kodi app and the Exodus add-on.

Netflix/Amazon on steroids, for free.

Any Video Recorder (Google it) - http://www.any-video-recorder.com/

Similar to Audacity, but for video and sound.

Capture Streaming Video from your PC screen (dvd, blu-ray, Netflix, PrimeVideo etc.) Works in Windows 10.

Play a video (even a Disney video) and draw a box on your screen around the playing video with this software.

This software then captures the video and sound and writes it to an MP4 file. Of course, the capture is 1 to 1, you have to play the video all the way through at normal speed. Sometimes the sound gets a little out of sync on playback (this can be fixed with other software), but overall a really good program when nothing else will work to rip the video. If you can play the video to your PC screen, you can capture it.

None of those movies are worth streaming, or downloading or even really watching.

Netflix’s movies selection is awful, and Amazon Prime selection is 10 x worse than that.

Now a pair of security researchers say they’ve discovered a vulnerability in the Google Chrome browser that allows people to save illegal copies of movies from streaming sites like Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Clearly, that's a feature, not a vulnerability.

As for "illegal", that depends on whether the "vulnerability" allows downloading without having a NetFlix or Amazon Prime account. If the user has an account, it's fair use. Otherwise, it's a vulnerability, but of Netflix or Amazon, not of the user.

It should be noted that Google patches Chrome a LOT. As such, expect this bug to be patched with a new Chrome release within a few days.
