forgive the lack of capitalization. i am back in front of a computer for the first time since friday, june 17th, and only typing with one hand.
i was coming home from work on friday when i hit a single bar lane barrier that should not have been down. it knocked me off my bike at about 50mph and i rolled some distance on the pavement.
my request is for my wife--she must take care of me and is ill-prepared for it.
pray she gets the strength to do so.

I have a cousin that ran into a deer. He survived, but has 15 separate locations that now show up on every metal detector.
You are proof that air bags and seat belts are not necessary to survive a crash at 50 mph.

Prayers for you and your wife. Always worried when hubby goes out on the bike by himself and isn’t home when he is supposed to be. He is always careful as I am sure you are but the 4 wheelers and unforeseen obstacles are dangerous. At least if I am with him, I know if something has happened.

It will work out. You will get better and less dependent each day. From 2010 through 2012 ,I was in ICU 48 days with the home care aftermath. I was determined to improve every day just a little bit. Finally, i could stand so I practices standing longer. When I could walk ,i increased distance . I called in “Activity” periods. My spouse was key but I tried to lesson her burden a little each day. You will improve if you Work at it. I’m sorry about the accident. That happens— PRESS ON .God Bless you and your wife with strength ,healing and courage .
