One must be circumspect when dealing with Chicago’s finest. Traditionally, they - shall we say - “have had a lot of latitude” when carrying out their duties!
In Oklahoma if you don't have a cracked windshield the cop will stop you and crack it for you as a public service so you'll blend in.

No such thing as an inspection in Alaska.
That’s almost as good as a friend of mine. A state trooper made a fast lane change, forcing my friend to divert. He then gets pulled over for illegal lane use or something.
The cop comes back with the ticket and my friend is talking on his cell phone.
The cop says “ go ahead and finish your conversation, I can wait.” My friend replies “I’m all done. Would you like to speak with your Commander?” and hands him the phone.
All I know is the ticket was cancelled and Internal Affairs later called my buddy for a statement.
In my travels throughout the country, and last April I drove from Seattle to Jacksonville-FL, I have never been stopped anywhere falsely. Chicago cops are the most crooked, anywhere! But I survived 37 years there with only 4 or 5 tickets. Many times I had to spend half a day in traffic court and then attend a “traffic education school” to avoid paying the fine.
Hell, the news here in Dallas was calling them “gun enthusiasts” with some drugs.
