A set of 50 flint tools has been discovered in Barranc de la Boella, near Tarragona, a city 80 kilometres south of Barcelona. The tools are estimated to be between 800,000 and a million years old... Co-director of the excavation and researcher at IPHES, Josep Vallverdú, stated that the site contains the oldest files on human evolution in Catalonia and on the Iberian Peninsula, of which the potential is still unknown. These tools were found in an area known as La Mina, and are supposedly very well preserved, along with animal skeletal remains and coprolites, most notably related to deer, horses, cattle, rhinoceros, and even hyenas...
The age of the tools is estimated to be between 800,000 and one million years old.. Also recovered were a large number of hyena coprolites, and among the skeletal remains of large animals also found were several large fragments of deer antlers and the femur of a rhinoceros, of the same age as the tools...
As for the remains unearthed in this campaign, the presence of a wide range of taxa (deer, horses, cattle and rhinoceros) stands out, according to IPHES, providing an interpretation based on the paleo-ecological river ecosystems and the Francolí delta basin.

Feeling even better about converting to Odinism ;)
Welcome to FR. How have you enjoyed your first 11 days with a login to post?
The moment you invoked “Nazi” and violated Godwin’s law, you lost the argument. Show some decency, man up and apologize for it.
Whoever that young lady is in the 3rd photo from the bottom on your FR page, please send her to my house.
.
This time I partly agree with you, but sunken is a good guy, no matter how uninformed he may be.
He is no NAZI!
Thank Odin I don’t spend eternity with you. But congratulations finding a venue for your “faith” that doesn’t raise your health insurance.
I hope you reached your concepts of manhood independently, your father may have been a decent man.
Continually under construction (if I don’t get banned) so check in again ;)
As long as you don’t post a pic of Odin’s Throbbing Thrillhammer, you’ll be OK.
No danger ;)
AAMOF years ago I started actually reading about the Old Nordics because I overheard an argument that there was no record of gay Norsemen pre-Christianity. The opponent tried to prove they were all in the closet, the first person said name one gay viking, and since the vikings were exhibitionists (anything could hapoen in the mead-hall, it was only going off alone w someone that was “cheating”) why would they hide being gay. On and on. So I started studying it...my slippery slope.
Dressing up my profile page between Trump rallies will keep me out of trouble for a while...it will be an entirely hetero fjord I garontee ;)
The abstract is available at http:// onlinelibrary.wiley.com/enhanced/doi/10.1002/jqs.2800
To get a copy of the paper costs $38.00 -- and just to look at it for 48 hours costs $6.00...
~~~~~~~~
However, there are several related illustrations from the report available online:
The above are supposedly artifacts from the Barranc de la Boella site. However, there was no indication given of the level (depth -- age) where they were found.
These are obviously artifacts -- core cobbles with several adjacent hard-hammer blows directed bifacially so as to remove adjacent flakes -- -- creating cutting or scraping edges. BUT -- they are by no means, "flint", rather, they are of some much more granular and less "knappable" material. From personal experience, I can attest that making usable tools out of such material is a considerable challenge! (It's TOUGH!!!)
The above artifacts show a level of toolmaking technology considerably advanced from what I would expect m the efforts of the earliest toolmakers.
~~~~~~~~
There was a collateral article on a study of use-wear on quartz (actually granular quartzite) artifacts at several Spanish sites -- including at Barranc de la Boella:
Figure 7: Use-wear traces from two flint [sic] flakes from level 2 at Barranc de la Boella Pit.
(NOTE: there appears come confusion in Spanish as to stone types. The above caption from a Quartz study calls the flakes, "Flint"...)
The wear-polish visible in the SEM images appears to be what develops from cutting or scraping meat or hides...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These are supposedly artifacts in situ at the Barranc de boella site. Again, there was no indication as to the level at which they were found.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It would appear that the excavators at Barranc de boella were meticuluous in recording stratigraphy, but, bottom line -- it will cost $$ to follow this rabbit trail much further...
So much gay stuff today. It’s the inverse of Oscar Wilde, the love that dare not speak its name is now the love that won’t shut the hell up. Everyone’s a homo, and if you’re not a homo, you’re in the closet. I’ve been to the urologist and had his hand up my ass (he didn’t even have the common courtesy to buy me lunch or even whistle “Moon River”). It hurt like a sumbitch and so I cannot fathom how people consider it pleasurable, let alone the dinnermashing aspect of the act. As soon as I see poo, the party’s over. At least that’s how I feel about the subject.
But I digress, yeah, that Nordic stuff. Quite possibly they may be my ancestors on one line, the ones that moved to Scotland 500 or so years ago. A few copper red hairs in my facial hair, so that’s probably their doing.
I stay away from Doctors ;)
I tell everyone who’s from Scotland they are the only people Vikings warned against messing with. Too many warriors lost, too little booty gained.
Then they went to Ireland and there were hardly any people there because the black haired Irish kept freezing to death. The vikings said “you know, you can burn this peat stuff you’re standing on.” The Irishman said “Really? It’ll make good fuel fer ma still. Watch my granddaughter fer a minute, will ye?” And so 700 years later Maureen O’Hara was born. They figured they better make her a movie star before she embarrassed the UK by beating Adolph to death all by herself ;)
Ah, the Black Irish, probably Spaniards (allegedly might have some of that in the bloodline, too). Alas, the real fighting Viking spirit seems to be gone today given the importation of the monsters from the Middle East. Real Vikings would’ve sent the Satanists running back to hell (and had the equally evil and treasonous politicians allowing them in impaled on their swords with their heads on their shields).
Insidious power of socialist feminization.

That these guys once dominated the world from the Mississippi to Northern China is hard to believe. The “Fury of the Northmen” become “The Fabulous Trans-whatever” and now the women want to know what happened to the men. WELL, WHO MADE ALAN ALDA AND BOY GEORGE HOUSEHOLD NAMES...twits

Only sign of Viking resistance AFAICS...watching

Oh, man, I remember when Alan Alda was considered the most desirable male by women in America, Mr. Sensitive Liberal. Of course, Alda just about ruined M*A*S*H* in the post-McLean Stevenson era (along with the equally insufferable and self-righteous Marxist, Mike Farrell). Paved the way for the douchey hipster/special snowflake moonbats of today. You want to slap every one of these tattooed, bearded beta male losers and kick them in their vaginas.
We badly need a resurgence of bonafide heterosexual maleness of the John Wayne ilk, and get rid of these pansy-ass white twits in commercials, sitcoms and movies where they play retards to know-it-all females. Let women be women and let men be men again.
True the flood did reset the population. If you extrapolate backwards population growth, it’s extremely believable that we all descended from 6 people some 4000-4500 years ago.
Given the flood and possibly runaway subduction completely destroying the evidience of prior civilizations, it’s believable that we all descended from 2 people some 6000 years ago.
What’s not believable is that man was making tools 1 million years ago, and yet his population and accomplishments remained extremely small for 1,000,000 years.

I saw no reasons.
What did I miss?
I gave you a full definition of the word "Nazi", as normally understood.
Could it have been shorter?
Sure, but you seemed very quick-draw in firing away with the word "Nazi", hopefully that will slow you down, next time.
Resettozero: "you are still insulting me and others who disagree with your points-of-view."
Not insulting you or anybody else.
Just a mild, well deserved rebuke for your inappropriate use of the word "Nazi".
Don't do it again, and you'll be fine, FRiend.
There are dozens of different scientific methods for determining geological ages, and they do sometimes show that within strata of, say ten million year old material, is other, older material hundreds of millions of years old.
A typical explanation is the older material was washed down by floods then reburied with the newer material.
