joe and pats SUCKS and the BEST pizzeria is NY is across from Pace University.
Not Grimaldi’s Pizza?
Beau Jo’s in Denver. No question.
Joe’s used to be the best but was sold and now it sucks. I was there during Christmas and am a ex Brooklyn/Bronx boy and let me tell you that Phils is what once joes was. It’s a hole in the wall but never ever empty and there’s a reason!

A non sequeter. The best Pizza is from Chicago.
Dunno, but I like the red Sicilian slice at Rose’s in Penn Station, at least when I lived in NY.
Other than that, I love Joe Pepe’s it is worth the trip to New Haven.
Then thee was Mike’s in the Bronx, its closed now.
The words best and New York are an oxymoron.
According to my FIL pizza is like sex. Even the bad stuff is still pretty good.
Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn for the win.
Used to be Lorenzo’s in Philly, but that was in the Frank Rizzo era.
Serious Pizza in Deep is the BEST NY style in DFW. Be prepared to wait in line.
Anybody care to enlighten us rubes about what a ‘grandma slice’ is in the ‘buy-the-slice’ pizza world?
best pizza in ny metro area is “benny tudino’s pizza in hoboken, nj
When my brother picked me up on “discharge” day
from McGuire AFB mid Feb 1973 we had to travel
the Jersey Turnpike north to exit 14..as we approached the Rahway/Elizabeth area I got my first glimpse of the WTC. My brother noticing
my curiosity simply said World Trade Center. I said, their ******* huge. My brother laughed and said, your gonna have to work on that...
your language......northward.. past the airport
Port newark,and exit 14....all this time,I kept
glancing east, across Newark bay...again my brother noticed ...we’ll have to make a run come warmer weather, I said sure thing....
Well we never made “ the run” *smiles*..I made a solo run late May of 73...jump on the tube
as the metro was called back then, made the transfer in Hoboken then headed downtown. When
The subway stopped at WTC, I took my time going upstairs, the sights and sounds of lower Manhattan
mid morning are....unique LOL,..
THERE they were HUGE, I kept looking up and
saying to myself two of em....after touring the area for two hours I got hungry...I stop at this tiny place,PIZZA...yessss!. A young guy said ya wanna a slice? I sat on a stool and had three over the next hour or so....just chilling...and looking up. The kid says to me,where ya from?...I say across the river,Jersey. He laughs like hell and says I was sure it was Iowa. I laugh and say been gone for a few years, haven’t been home, overseas.
Yeah their kinda new (pointing across the street..WTC)..he says. Huge, I say.
Time to settle up I say what’s the damage..he says gimme tree...the cokes are on me, I said to him, best pizza I’ve had in years...we both laugh.*smiles*...there has not been a 9/11
anniversary that goes by that I don’t think about
That tiny little place with the best pizza in lower Manhattan anyway.
(LOL..please excuse the spacing and spelling..using IPhone...never easy)
In a Rockford episode some guys from New York were in Los Angeles to kill Rockford. At some point one of killers was eating a slice of pizza and said,” this isn’t pizza it’s a grilled cheese sandwich”.
The downside of eating pizza in NY is having to go to NY for it.
They’d have to pay some big bucks to entice this household to do that.
I've followed his advice and can now make a 100% perfect New York style pie that I love. Read his every word. He has updates throughout his web page, so what he says early on might have been updated later in the page. He isn't wrong. I tested his every advice and found the exact same results.
One fact stands out: No one can agree on what is the "perfect" NYC pie, so make the pie you love and be very, very happy, and use Joe's advice to make that pie.
Trail Rider Pizza, the best pizza in Tijeras... well, the only pizza in Tijeras. Yes, it's in a singlewide.
Ozone Pizzeria, under the EL in Queens has without a doubt the best Sicilian Pizza that exists.

The crust is puffy and crisp on the bottom, light mozzarella under the sauce and parmesan on top.
We’ve been in Pennsylvania for 12 years now. We always pick up a few of their Sicilian pies to bring home and freeze when we get into NY. Only problem is parking there.
