Since you asked, approximately 113,000 French troops were evacuated, approximately 40,000 in the rear guard surrendered.
Some French were mixed in with the British and taken to England, others were transported to Channel ports still under French control, where they either surrendered or were caught up in the general armistice. (Some who made it to England were also transported back to France). Only a very small number ended up in the Free French.

One thing about the French, they don’t follow rules of engagements. Very nasty people when pissed off.

Soldiers were immediately disciplined for acting out against an immigrant who just wanted to get some money for food.

Not even close to correct. By June 2 they were about half way from the Belgium border to Paris. On the coast, they were as far as Albertville.
The French sustained almost as many casualties. That’s not men cutting and running, that’s men standing and dying, even if being “outfought”.
