European churches say growing flock of Muslim refugees are converting

A growing number of Muslim refugees in Europe are converting to Christianity, according to churches, which have conducted mass baptisms in some places.

Reliable data on conversions is not available but anecdotal evidence suggests a pattern of rising church attendance by Muslims who have fled conflict, repression and economic hardship in countries across the Middle East and central Asia.

Complex factors behind the trend include heartfelt faith in a new religion, gratitude to Christian groups offering support during perilous and frightening journeys, and an expectation that conversion may aid asylum applications.

At Trinity church in the Berlin suburb of Steglitz, the congregation has grown from 150 two years ago to almost 700, swollen by Muslim converts, according to Pastor Gottfried Martens. Earlier this year, churches in Berlin and Hamburg reportedly held mass conversions for asylum seekers at municipal swimming pools.

Propaganda of a different type.

This is infiltration, not conversions. The Muzzies are instructed in their satanic book to use any lies or deceptions to conquer and slay Jews, Christians and other infidels.

The ministers, priests and rabbis genuinely think these masses are conversions and they mistakenly rave about it...although, mostly they're nervous out of their gourds about approving illegal immigrants flooding their countries in the first place.....and now they desperately want to put a good face on things.

"Conversions" my foot.

Kind of surprised European Government havent stepped in to stop this, as it would be offensive to the Muslims.

Sure it is.

The church is a body of believers, which is the family of the Son of God.

He provides spiritual gifts for His believers.

We aren’t to bring Christ down by questioning if one is saved or not, but rather to raise man up to Christ by studying His Word.

The spiritual gift of communicating the Gospel is different when the audience are unbelievers (evangelism) than the spiritual gift of Pastor-Teacher given to communicate His Word to believers.

Place it in His hands and let God guide appropriately.

I suspect a large number of Christians who were in those countries, were driven out and would likely seek churches to where they immigrated as refugees.

I also suspect a large number of wolves are accompanying that flock.

I don't believe so. In some cases yes, but definitely not all and definitely not the majority.

I knew Syrians in 2003-2005 - Christians and many non-observant Moslems. The non-observant Moslems including a couple who were interested in Catholicism, but they were afraid of what would happen to them and their families. Most Moslems know that death hangs over their heads

Also one of the consequences of the spread of Wahhabi -- let me digress here a bit: I consider Islam a civilizational disease, which infects healthy civilizations like Egypt, Syria, Iran, India etc -- the Egyptian and Syrian and Iran were destroyed to a large extent, except for the Copts and the Syriacs and the Zoroastrians while the Indian had the diseased part amputated (Pakistan and Bangladesh).

But every now and then a disease created a very virulent strain that kills immediately instead of a long-drawn out illness (time to spread). Wahabbis are that strain of Islam: extremely virulent. But it will consume itself, destroying Islam while killing many victims

Many "born into it" Moslems are utterly disgusted with the Islamic state as it tears away the mask they kept and shows them the real brutality of Islam -- as the article says

Johannes, another Iranian, left Tehran for Vienna. Born into a Muslim family, the 32-year-old – who was previously called Sadegh – began questioning the roots of Islam at university. “I found that the history of Islam was completely different from what we were taught at school. Maybe, I thought, it was a religion that began with violence?

“A religion that began with violence cannot lead people to freedom and love. Jesus Christ said ‘those who use the sword will die by the sword’. This really changed my mind.”

Johannes began the process of converting to Christianity in Iran. He was ambushed with a group of others leaving a bible class but managed to escape and went into hiding. When the Austrian visa he had already applied for came through, he left the country.
I can say that there are many who want to escape. We should use this opportunity to help them escape the clutches of Islam.

Also, about Taqqiyah -- there is no need for that here. The Germans take in Moslem refugees and the Germans are heavily anti-Christian/atheist already culturally. It wins no real brownie points to convert. I'm convinced that most of those who are converting as mentioned are really sincerely converting.

Yes, precautions, but there is no advantage gained for these people by lying -- we should go on an all-out movement to bring these people to Christ

One cannot state the prosperity of Europe and attribute it to Christian values -- that opens a whole bunch of incorrect assumptions:

#1 the conversion is an UNintended consequence of the "bringing in", so if the liberals are bringing in MOslems, we should put every effort to convert them

Also, we should push the state dept to have open doors for Christians from the Middle East -- there are many

They don’t need to pretend to convert to christianity to be in Germany — GErmany, france and england are pretty godless and hostile to christianity now, so conversion will not bring them many brownie points. It’s not going to prevent them getting deported (probably will accelerate it) and will not give them extra welfare or assistance.

I don’t know about in Germany but our government pays a lot of money for certain church affiliatiated groups to house and set up on welfare illegal immigrants and refugees.

These organizations receive financial gain by doing the government’s dirty work. Positive spin helps keep the money flowing. These groups also have restrictions about being able to discuss their faith.

Catholic Charities receives over $2 billion per year of taxpayer money. They’re not the only religious affiliated group receiving money. That’s a lot of money. They could be motivated by the money so that is why I have questions about it.

That said, I hope we convert every one of them to Christianity.

Best way to make the invasion a non-issue is claim they’re converting to Christianity.
