Concealed carry permit holder Byron Wilson drew his handgun and engaged a mass shooter in Texas on Sunday, possibly saving lives at great risk to his own. An Army veteran* of multiple tours in Afghanistan opened fire in Houston on Sunday, killing two people wounding and wounding six more before being killed by responding SWAT officers.
What many news outlets seem to be glossing over in their reporting of attack is that the veterans attack, carried out with an AR-15 variant, showed that the weapon was anything but high-powered. Six of the eight people shot with the most common rifle sold in the United States survived the attack.
One of those survivors, Byron Wilson, was a concealed carrier who drew his handgun and engaged the rifle armed shooter before being shot three times.

yep, can’t find it on facebook. almost as if it is being blocked.
They guy got shot three times. All I want to know is did he survive?
Yes but it’s going to take time. He may even need to learn to walk again. Lots of upcoming surgery.
They also not talking about his muslim name or his muslim relatives.
I was wondering about any connection.
...an AR-15 variant, showed that the weapon was anything but high-powered...
The MSM calls any rifle larger than a BB gun a “high power” rifle.
Many MSM “reporters” are left wing lunatics fresh from being brainwashed and subsequently programmed in college “Journalism” classes.
You sure that some media talking heads are not ignorant enough to describe a BB gun as high powered?
There is some talk of the rifle being a 22lr variant.
Probably was using Tula .223. Those are under-powered fmj rounds that will just drill tiny holes in you.
22s are some of the most lethal calibers. Sure they wont knock em down or blow chunks outta them, but in a short time they usually do the job.
Muzzle velocity of about 3300fps. Yep a .223 is high-power.
Lib Think/ Why Would you think that? Do You have proof?
Guns are Ungood!
Horse-pucky. 45 grain max-velocity loads maybe.... common off the shelf ammo is closer to 2900fps.
You can find 3000 fps plus all day long. It isn’t rare. Of course that’s not out of modern sexy short barrels.

This is NOT being hidden. Facebook does NOT carry everything.
True.it’s available.. but .223 is nonetheless a light weapon caliber at 1000 to 1500 ft/lb muzzle energy.
Your typical 30-06 at very similar velocity (+/- 200 fps) produces twice the muzzle energy. It’s not helpful in the gun-control debate to admit the premise that “scary” AR-15s are more powerful than they really are.
The Concealed Carrying Hero Part is nto written about by any other media which I have read.
