And no, Trump never talked about a permanent Muslim ban. It was always temporary. The media narrative wanted to make it a permanent total Muslim ban, but it was never a question in my mind what he said. So if you heard that, then you fell for the media narrative, and if you're hyperventilating over a 3rd party saying he's going to moderate, then your falling for media tricks again.
Trump was right there on 9/11, so I think this is simply softening to tone for mass appeal. I think he will do the right thing.
