SpaceEngine - a free space simulation program that lets you explore the universe in three dimensions, from planet Earth to the most distant galaxies. Areas of the known universe are represented using actual astronomical data, while regions uncharted by astronomy are generated procedurally. Millions of galaxies, trillions of stars, countless planets - all available for exploration. You can land any planet, moon or asteroid and watch alien landscapes and celestial phenomena. You can even pilot starships and atmospheric shuttles.
TOPICS: Computers/Internet; Science; UFO's
KEYWORDS: simulator; spaceengine
Really interesting simulator. I run the 0.9.7.4 on my dilapidated Quad core 1.8 Ghz HP and W10. Runs pretty well with 8 gigs and a cheap 2 gig video card.

As a trans-species Klingon in a human body, I’m more interested in finding bathrooms of other aliens.

This sounds like the classic Distant Suns reworked with the addition of a rocket ship.

Fortunately, as with Star Trek, they are humanoid and speak English.

One Russian guy developed this. Have had it for year and half. Fun just to explore. I have to set the priority of the CPU to above normal. Control+ALT+Delete>task manager>details>Right click on Space Engine>set priority>above normal.
