It’s tough to dislike a movie that features a BAR with a night vision scope. Great, funky 1970s soundtrack, too - I have a copy on a USB stick in my car, in case the zombie apocalypse begins while I’m on the road.
I suspect Hillary will float the notion that she will offer reparations if she’s elected president (announced before November to aid her at the polls).
There has already been an organization promoting the “reparations tour” this year.
If they make a series about Rocky Horror Picture Show, would people start to believe all transgenders are cannibals? Is that supposed to make people want them in their bathrooms MORE??
I went to high school with John Amos. He was a good guy.
When the original ROOTS first played on TV, there was an upsurge in vandalism by blacks in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
I rent it once a year its a fine film... I play it backwards so it has a happy ending
Read the link. the judge said Hoax.
There are all kinds of stories like this and not all involve slavery. The inquisition which caused Protestant and Catholic to seek refuge in countries sympathetic. Later long lost family reunite.
Some members of the Madera family in Lisbon, Portugal, were drawn to the writings of Martin Luther. It was the early 1600s. The family faced trial, and escaped to what is now Germany. 150 years later some Maderas came to Pennsylvania. One of those Maderas had a descendant who married my great-grandmother’s sister.
James and Jane Wishart Madera had a bunch of kids, and one of their descendents ran Madera Auto Service. In the 1970s they had visitors. A man in his 60s, and his son. In his 30s. They were tourists from Lisbon Portugal. The son spoke English and asked the proprietor if he knew the story. That story had been passed down to him as well. The James Earl Jones scene in Next Generations came to mind when I heard that story involving cousins. BTW both sides have had subsequent visits since.
He was good in “Coming to America”, with Eddie Murphy, and Arsenio Hall.
#30 I saw the trailer. It is a punk looking long red headed kid.
MacGyver - First Look Trailer

One of the comments at the youtube link suns it up:
“The guy they got to play McGuyver looks like some hipster paying off his student loans for gender studies.”
I remember hearing a joke right after ROOTS came out:
"Did you hear Alex Haley committed suicide? He found out he was adopted."
After it played, a bunch of black high schoolers went around beating up white kids and yelling, "Roots, roots!"
Someone should let the Hollywierdos know there is still slavery in Africa.
Pray America wakes
I never watched the original MacGyver series, but I do have it in my AmazonPrime and Netflix queues.
Trailer: New one looks like it has possibilities. Too many of the newer programs advertise as adventure, but are more like Doctor Phils as characters talk too much.
I yell, “Blow something UP, already!”
I will check out the pilot episode.
