Well, I’ll never see them since the first thing I install on newer windows computers is Classic Shell and Classic Start Menu.
I’ll have to figure out how to block Windows from installing these “promoted apps” though...
The Madison avenue clique will drive me away from computers just like they did with the TV. I’m already at the point that I refuse to buy anything I remember being advertised.
Does it not seem odd and quite possibly illegal for a company to have an OS that you paid for that is forcing you to have advertisements blaring at you? Besides being memory hogs, they are intrusive and have no place in an OS.
Does any company actually sell anything any more?? Seems the ONLY thing companies sell are ads.
So far I’ve avoided the upgrade and am still running 7 on my desktop. They keep trying to sneak it in though. One day they will just force Win10 on everyone with an XP or 7 system. One morning all computers will be Win10, many of your apps won’t work any more and Microsoft will be telling you how much better off you are as you struggle to get anything done.
I have a Win10 laptop. I’ve yet to see much that’s an improvement over XP.
It’s not your computer anymore.
I was forced into Windows 10 and detest it. I would never have paid for it.
Well, glory be, none of those show up on my Linux start menu.
I never click on that icon in the lower left corner. I have what I need pinned to my task bar.
