Does it not seem odd and quite possibly illegal for a company to have an OS that you paid for that is forcing you to have advertisements blaring at you? Besides being memory hogs, they are intrusive and have no place in an OS.

Somebody didn't read the fine print in their EULA [End User License Agreement].
For many software programs, you only 'lease' the right to use the program, but YOU do not OWN it.

Besides being memory hogs, they are intrusive and have no place in an OS.But ... the Ads a critical part of the operating system. Without them it won't work!
(for those who remember Microsoft's claims regarding Internet Explorer back in the day.)
