Morley Safer, the longest-serving correspondent in the history of “60 Minutes,” says it is time to retire.
Safer, 84, said in a statement, “It’s been a wonderful run, but the time has come to say goodbye to all of my friends at CBS and the dozens of people who kept me on the air.”
CBS announced on Wednesday that the network will broadcast a special hour-long look at Safer’s broadcasting career on Sunday night. …

Glad you corrected post #7. I really haven’t watched watch 60 minutes for years, and that thought never came up. Sounds like he has a longtime marriage.

‘Sunday ‘Morning’ used to ne the same for me. Sometimes good stuff. I don’t watch network TV.....or any TV much at all, now. And don’t miss it.
Same with me. But also over time the show moved left.
I tape a lot of things and watch when I can. It gives me options and i don’t automatically judge a program with 50 years of three articles a week by what some of the stories say.

According to Wikipedia he is not said to be a homosexual (he is married with a daughter) but is a Canadian.
I tape Morning Joe and the Sunday News shows and decide what I may want to watch. Morning Joe is good for about the first 30 minutes and that is all. One thing about that show is that I wish they would get rid of some the idiots they have on a regular basis, like Eugene Robinson and Nicole Wallace, what complete biased idiots. Joe, Mika and Barnicle I can tolerate.

I haven’t watched that. I watch OR and I can speed through it in about 10-15 minutes. It’s fairly redundant and he’s often nopt willing to issue a death blow when he has some open on the ropes like Clinton. I think in the back of his mind, he wants everyone to kiss the ring and come in for an interview. I remember how he sucked up to Ob to get that interview.
Tonight he said for the 50th time, we have proven Obama’s birth certificate is real.
