Okay, y'all know the drill. Do 'em, or don't, as you prefer.

15 patches, 7 of which are "critical".

Here we go again! ... PING!

You can find all the Windows Ping list threads with FR search: just search on keyword "windowspinglist".

I usually wait a day or too to see if any of the patches “break” anything.

No more MS patches for my Win7 partition. I bought this computer to use applications. Applications that MS breaks with their updates.

Hmmm... I received 17 new updates for my Win 7 machine, all labeled important. But not one of them has a KB number shown on this list. These must be for Win 10 or maybe Win 8.

I used my laptop to buy a plane ticket this morning, and when I went to use it again, it had shut off the wi-fi connection and refused to allow it back on. It is currently doing its shut-down/install/restart routine.

Linux Mint Cinammon 17.2! Love it.
And no ads when I watch TWD on amc.com using it.

Twice this past week my Windows 7 pc had updates installed even though I have updates blocked. They are to notify me and I would decide. No notification.

How do you get them so fast? These don’t arrive until late at night the day they are released in my Update folder.

Don’t care. Don’t use Windoz. Have been happily on Linux for the past decade. Emphasis on the HAPPILY!!

And un-infected by malware.

I’m in AZ!! I check during the day they come out but nothing and my system is set to have them downloaded automatically. Seems about 11PM is when they come in.

If you've run across this before (and know of a fix) I'd be in your debt.

My wife has noticed for about a week that her e-mail contacts are all gone. She's on a Toshiba laptop with Windows 8.1 and uses Outlook for her e-mail. Today on a whim, she went to her e-mail using our desktop computer which is running Windows 7. Guess what? Her e-mail contacts list was fully populated!

Any idea what we could do to regain her contacts on the laptop? Thanks in advance FRiend.

Do you have Windows 10? I do, I have noticed that sometimes with updates, I would get them really late in the evening or really early in the morning, sometimes an update would come out, a really important update and I wouldnt get it til a week later

Wow, that’s a new one on me. Is she sync’ing her contacts into a cloud service (maybe without realizing it)?

Yes, I have Win 10. I am glad I am not the only one who gets these late.
