I like Win 10 better than Win 7.
it is definitely faster.
I have a photo printer that is not supported by Windows 10.
This little trick would hasten my move to Apple.
Thanks to Microsoft, 95% of what I do is now on Linux. The remaining 5% will be taken care of when a couple of applications I run become Linux compatible. All of my treasured legacy applications run better under Wine than under Windows 7 and they won’t run on Win 10.
I have that one installed, on 36/16.
No problems.
Should I uninstall it?
The article doesn’t say ‘what’ to do if it’s there.
I ran into this problem several weeks back after installing this update. Fortunately, I was able to simply go into the BIOS of my ASUS motherboard and disable the Secure Boot option. Still runs Windows 7 just fine.
To be fair, this problem is the fault of ASUS rather than Microsoft
Microsoft is not opensource never will be. Succumb to the beast and all will be good. I knew the day that windows 10 was given away this would be. Why fight it. I have linux Virtualboxes for my fun stuff. If your devices dont work with Windows 10 that means you need new ones my god man what you expect from old tech.
Win ping.
The first time I booted Win 7 on my current machine I turned off auto updates. 5 years, never looked back.
Unfortunately, I have 10 years of customer documents, art and related TT fonts stored in Corel Draw format. Until I win the lotto and can retire, I’m stuck.
This is NOT the first Windows update that has broken things.
Even as far back as XP, some updates caused system crashes and boot up problems.
A couple of years ago, a Win7 update caused mostly Dell laptops to fail to boot.

Usually after the first or second major update, I turn auto update OFF. I still get an occasional system glitch. When I go to the System Restore, I notice the latest available Restore Point has a recent Windows Critical Update. After the SysRestore to a point before that WCU, the system starts up and runs as it should.
Too many upgrades/updates of many software programs have created more problems than they resolved.
ping ping ping
Damn, I use Asus boards in my builds so....bookmark.
Thanks for posting.
for later
That crapware will NEVER invest a PC of mine.
