I run Windows 7 Premium (updates set to off) inside my Mac using Parallels.
It’s easy to do and is very stable.

I have a photo printer that is not supported by Windows 10. You should be able to install the driver in compatability mode and it should keep working fine in Windows 10. I have an old(er) printer/scanner that works just fine by installing the Windows 7 drivers in Compatibility mode in Windows 10.
