Sometimes we wonder if we’re still living in the land of the free. Witness the subpoena from Claude Walker, attorney general of the U.S. Virgin Islands, demanding that the Competitive Enterprise Institute cough up a decade of emails and policy work, as well as a list of private donors.
Mr. Walker is frustrated that the free-market think tank won’t join the modern church of climatology, so he has joined the rapidly expanding club of Democratic politicians and prosecutors harassing dissenters.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman started the assault last autumn with a subpoena barrage on Exxon Mobil. His demand for documents followed reports by Inside Climate News and the Los Angeles Times that claimed Exxon scientists had known for years that greenhouse gases cause global warming but hid the truth from the public and shareholders.
The progressives should worry that they suffer from payback of progressive tactics. They will be pooping their transgender panties when they get lined up in front of a ditch.
If so-called “Greenhouse Gases” cause so-called global warming, then what caused the Medieval warming period in the 1400’s, when the Earth warmed up by nine degrees and most of the North Pole (temporarily) melted?
It is a theory. How can you be prosecuted for not agreeing with a theory?

We live in an Idiocracy. Those guys (Judge and Stone?) are visionaries.
These climate zealots are so frightened of losing their grants, they are willing to try to destroy Capitalism, prosecute free-thinkers for shoring up the belief that 'climate change'...i.e.,weather...a trove of incomplete data is just that...incomplete data. Remember what was said at last years summit on CC/GW: "We must destroy Capitalism"..…Bolivian Climate delegation; Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.'s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.
“For the people” wasn’t good enough, because the people often revolted against what was done in their name.
“For the children” doesn’t work as well when so many don’t have children and many who have families aren’t liberal.
“For the planet” is perfect, because you can say you’re doing it for future generations that aren’t present to vote and represent an entity that only speaks through those saying they do it for the planet.
And last I heard, Mark Steyn was having problems with the legal fight back route. He counter sued, gave up his data for discovery, and has been waiting a few years for Mann to respond with his discovery requirements. Unfortunately in our idiocracy the judicial system is completely corrupted. The corrupt DC judge keeps giving Mann more time to respond to discovery. So Mann owns Steyns discovery data and has produced none of his own. This corrupt Oligarchy can not be taken down legally.

The Earth warmed up. And there was not a single SUV, oil well, factory, or airplane anywhere on the planet at that time.
I live in Maine, and grey boulders of various sizes are everywhere; left behind all over the state when the glaciers receded.
Deep in the woods on a large parcel of land my family owns, there are boulders larger than a 2-story home. In some cases, there are trees and plants growing on these massive boulders.
The answer to that can best be judged by the attempt by East Anglia, NASA and others who have been proven to have manipulated global warming data and tried to get real scientists to "eliminate" the "Medieval Warming Period" via plain and simple fraud.
