PIKE COUNTY, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) The mass murder that left eight members of the same family dead, unveiled marijuana grow operations at three crime scenes, according to the Ohio Attorney General.
Those were Mike DeWine's final words at a press conference for an update on the investigation of the "execution-style" deaths within the Rhoden family in Pike County, about 70 miles south of Columbus, on Friday.

That was supposed to be a map of the tri-state area.
Yep, wife works in Pike county and we live in the next county.
For years we had pot growers in the area and no real problems. Then the Oxycotin Express hit the area and suddenly we got crime rates rocketing upwards meth labs right in town and heroin on the streets (after they shut down the Oxy Express.)
This used to be a town where when you went down town you left your car doors unlocked and the keys in it. Now it is a hell hole. a couple of years back some druggies walked into the coin shop that is next to me in broad daylight and beat the old guy there over the head and robbed him of his gold and silver coin stocks. They needed money for oxy.
And the worst part is that oxy crap got into the police force and the city workers. several went to jail and the Chief of Police had to quietly retire to save his ass and his dirty cops from going to big boy prison.
There is some pior indication of Mexican drug cartel activity in that area:
‘In August 2012, DeWine issued a press release saying law enforcement officers found “a major marijuana grow site in Pike County with suspected ties to a Mexican drug cartel.”
‘Investigators destroyed about 1,200 marijuana plants and found two abandoned campsites they believe belonged to Mexican nationals, the release said.’
