ESPN host Bomani Jones wore a "Caucasians" t-shirt mocking the Cleveland Indians' "Chief Wahoo" logo during the "Mike & Mike" show on Thursday.
The shirt includes the word "Caucasians" in the Indians' font, with a character based on "Chief Wahoo" that has white skin (instead of red), a basic nose (instead of a large, hooked nose), blonde hair (instead of dark hair parted, and held down by a head band), and a dollar sign (instead of a feather).
Here are the two logos side-by-side:

That's racist!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, I remember those bottles from back about 1966. First time at a laundromat, the bottle dispensed from a laundromat’s dime pop machine. I was 10 then... Moan. ;)
We used to have a local minor league Yankee affiliate called the Columbus Confederate Yankees, complete witgh stars and bars insignia on the sleeve. Black players on the team at the time (mid-60s) thought nothing of it.
He’s black, he can get away with it. No problem.
Any relation to the Jackson Whites of the NY/NJ Ramapo Mountains?
Oh, no I apologize to anyone who may have been triggered by my calling leprechauns (a type of fairy) non-human. My hurtfulness obviously springs from my white privilege. (Ok, now I will stop acting like a fairy.)
...Cleveland N...ers...
It would have to be spelled in the more acceptable manner of the ‘hood: niggaz.
I watch the games, but seldom the hype and commentary.
The major sports teams are missing a bet by not *licensing* logos, artwork, slogans and names from real Indian tribes.
First of all, a tribe would artistically design a bunch of things, using their tribal motifs, but nothing of religious or sacred nature, such as a logo, a mascot, even cheers for the crowd. Crossovers have a lot of potential, even giving team members tribal-style names. Tribal style team paraphernalia could be sold at concessions.
In exchange, royalties, some reserved seating for tribal members “and guests” that the tribe could sell if they weren’t interested, some home stadium art, and maybe even to host some tribe-public events, like Indian art shows, festivals, etc.
The benefits of this to a tribe are enormous, and the team gets a lot of good PR, are pretty bulletproof to blackmail from racialists, it reflects well on the league, etc.
It appears that what this bobblehead with a big mouth is saying is, if I were any good at sports, I’d play for $15.00 minimum wage and meals. Yeah. Right. He needs to take a deep breath and lighten up.
That's the funny part. The other funny part is that if there were such a team I doubt any whites would get their panties in a bunch over it.
As in:
"The sheriff is a ni!"
