Employees at an Oklahoma City Krispy Kreme store are searching for an elderly man who left behind something very valuable.
He dropped nearly $500 in cash while he was in their store, located at Penn and Memorial.
The man dropped the money on the floor in the lobby around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
The gentleman had come in, purchased a couple of donuts. As he was putting his money away, he dropped some on the floor, said Jason Hart with Krispy Kreme.
At the time, no one noticed anything strange.
About 20 minutes later, an employee was sweeping the lobby floor when she discovered $470 in cash.
Employees said they waited all afternoon and evening to see if the man would return for the money, but he never did.
That's when they decided to look at their security footage.
They had reviewed some tape, our video tape, our security tape to find it and saw that he actually did drop the money. We have a good photo of him, are just looking for him, trying to get him his money back, Hart said.
Now, they know what he looks like but don't know how to find him.
Security cameras also captured the mans black truck driving away, but they cant make out the tag number.
Employees said he appears to be around 70 years old and possibly is a veteran because of the tattoo on his forearm.
I would hate to lose $470 myself, and I cant imagine what its like to not have that, Hart said.
Hart is hoping the man is local but said, even if he isnt, theyll find a way to get his money back to him.
If you recognize the man in the surveillance video, call the Krispy Kreme store at Penn and Memorial.
imagine, finding the money and not grabbing it yourself.....nice to know there are still honest and good people in the world...
I know what you would have done.
Do they make scungilli donuts?
that
sounds
disgusting.
had fried oreos the other day. I could take them or leave them. give me a cannoli any day
How about Chips Ahoy flambe?
Gov. Krispy Kreme’s?
Don’t ever post to me again on this board.
you’re only 3000 miles away and CA is a small place. I’ll find you
This is a good excuse for a “buycott.” I’ll have to pick up some Krispy Kreme doughnuts today.
Leave the oreos. Take the cannoli.
Right... now that they advertised this, they will get all kinds of people claiming to have lost that money. I hope that if the right person shows up, they verify that he is the correct person.
LOL!!! might not have had the same impact.
only chuck Norris can kill with a cannoli.
Security cameras may have had a part in it....hate to be cynical but we be what we be.....
God's Blessings on an honest woman.
