Jeff Dean Morgan is a magnificent actor and will fill the role of Negan quite well.
The imagination of the accompanying video is probably worse than it really is, but then this is TWD. The sound effects conjure up some really vivid images.

They need to shake things up. The show has been in a rut for a while. Go somewhere, kill a bunch of people, go somewhere, kill a bunch of people, and so on. They don’t even notice the zombies anymore.

If they follow the comic book, we know which major character Negan will kill. OTOH, TV doesn’t necessarily follow comics. in the comic book Andrea was not killed by the governor, and went on to live in Alexandria. And Daryl doesn’t exist in the comic series.
One thing that I’m certain of. A major character (major as in around since season one) dies in Sunday’s season finale. To do otherwise would be to seriously downgrade the power and evil of the Negan character, making him just another savior who kills some secondary character.
Another factor is that unlike comics, the TV series has real people actors who might have other projects or plans that they would prefer to do vice Walking Dead. It’s conceivable they might want their character killed off.
I get the feeling Carol will the “Holly” treatment from the comic.
Too late, for me. Just as well. Not sure I want to know ahead of time.
