BOSTON (AP) -- Archeologists in Boston are digging at the boyhood home of slain black rights activist Malcolm X.

The two-week archaeological dig begins Tuesday in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood.

Organizers say they hope to find out more about Malcolm X's early life.

This is just digging around a yard, looking for stuff that AT BEST you can find at any retro shop or antique store. That is if you actually find anything.

Maybe there are plans to demolish the building. He was after all an influential person, he made history. If the building and land are re-used, this could be the only opportunity to see what’s there.

Archaeologists make a big deal out of everything. They did a small dig in a cemetery my bud and I worked in. They found a piece of an iron fence. They got all excited. We showed them where 50 more pieces were and a 50 year old picture of this old iron cemetery fence that surrounded a small plot.

They got paid and their dig was a farce.
