Conservative talk radio in Wisconsin is different from what Donald Trump normally encounters. Hosts in Milwaukee in Madison are hardened champions of Governor Scott Walker’s reforms and don’t take kindly to Trump’s criticisms of them before Walker dropped out of the presidential race last year.
“The hosts hear enough criticism about Wisconsin’s successful reforms from the left, and they’re not happy to hear distortions about them now from Donald Trump,” Wisconsin Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch told me last week.
So Trump stepped into a buzzsaw in Wisconsin yesterday, when his campaign inexplicably allowed him to appear on several hostile talk radio shows with little preparation.
The most noted was that of Milwaukee host Charlie Sykes who masterfully didn’t allow Trump to filibuster him and revealed the mogul’s petulant side.
But other shows were almost as memorable. Vicki McKenna of WISN radio chastised Trump for claiming trade costs jobs overall.
“We’re not losing manufacturing in Wisconsin!” she told Trump. She then asked Trump about his recent retweet of an unflattering picture of Heidi Cruz, the wife of Ted Cruz. That line of questioning didn’t get very far.
“He just hung up on me,” McKenna said on the air. “That’s OK. He gave me 25 minutes. I mean, that was fun.”
No one expects Trump to be making any return engagements on the top Wisconsin talk radio stations.
Scott Walker isn’t on the race. Why must supposed right wing radio hosts feel the need to attack people from thier own side of the isle?
Radio is a platform that is suppose to be objective. Its turned into a platform of the host’s agenda.
I would hope the same vitriol is used against the left when the time comes, but I’m not holding my breath.
Maybe Trump will get iCarly to answer questions for him. Like that pussy Ted.

That’s because you have a dirty mind. There’s clearly tons of information in the press of how Trump has helped people over the last 4 decades. You just refuse to acknowledge it.
You are the keeper of your own thoughts. It’s your mind that is dirty.

Trump takes responsibility for his actions. You have no proof to the contrary.
Send out a flurry of tweets?

I don’t mind Trump walking out on gotcha interviews. I hope any candidate would do that during the general campaign, no matter who ends up winning.
I listened to the broadcast. Trump did not get hurt at all. he held his own, negated every Globalist prepared attack, got his points out and appeared very presidential even calling his attacker intelligent and complimenting him.
R+trump did very good there, Showed he operates well under pressure and wins.
Total fail by the “Trump is a PoopyHead” crowd.

Honestly, did you actually even listen to the entire interview? I saw the same thing posted here on FR yesterday and listened to the interview. I believe Trump did just fine in the interview.
The interviewer was hostile and aggressive but Trump handled it well. The headlines is used to mislead because they know most won’t listen to the entire interview. It is sleazy politics.
Because the media has been using soft gloves against him, right?
A better question is what will Cruz do when he no longer receives soft treatment because the left and gope no longer needs him?

Later Mr. Trump acknowledged that he didn’t know Mr Sykes was a leader of the #NeverTrump movement in Wisconsin, which holds a primary April 5.
Mr. Sykes, who also is a supporter of Mr. Cruz, attempted to prod Mr. Trump into apologizing for tweeting an unflattering photograph of his rival’s wife, Heidi Cruz.

Bull Crap WI isn’t losing manufacturing... Every year I visit my family there and every year another firm has shut down and moved to China in their town... Anyone claiming WI isn’t losing manufacturing is playing with funny numbers.
