A fight over a golden egg during an Easter egg hunt landed one Memphis mother in jail after she allegedly attacked another parent with a hammer.

It was a family Easter egg hunt that turned into a free for all melee.
Cirby Pearson's mother Annette is locked up at 201 Poplar and charged with aggravated assault after she was accused of hitting a man in the head with a claw hammer.
"He started cursing her out," said Cirby Pearson. "She started cursing him back. He done hauled off and smacked her. So she had, she went in and got the hammer. And she came back and bust his head with it."

I was wondering why anyone would bring a claw hammer to an Easter egg hunt, then I read further that it was a family gathering. It all makes sense now. /s
